Hello, and welcome to Path of Exile, Exile.
If your Browser has the Option, hover your mouse over any link below, Right-Click, then select 'Open link in new tab'. This makes it so you do not have to open separate Browser Windows. First, here are two crucial websites you will be using often for building your Character(s): http://www.poeplanner.com/ and for Trading: http://poe.trade/ Your go-to Guide for everything Path of Exile in a nutshell: http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Diablo_Player%27s_Guide_to_Path_of_Exile Visual person? Your go-to Guide for everything Path of Exile in a nutshell for 3.0: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JPVJIn98B4 (this is a very good, must-watch video) Prefer a more professional breakdown on how to play PoE in parts? Then view and listen to this video series instead as of 2017: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEZtq6FSebE Alternatively, you can view and listen to this video that sums most things up for beginners as of 2019: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXOGDKjlbpo OR you can consult the links below I have provided that will take you specifically to the topics talked about within the Guides above. This is my personal favorite option because I can easily CTRL + F for keywords. The links below are also great for quick reference purposes. Your go-to Guide about Attributes (Intelligence, Evasion and Strength) http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Attribute Your go-to Guide regarding the Skill Tree and how it works: http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Passive_skill Your go-to Guide about Skill Tree Jewels and what they do: http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Jewel Your go-to Guide about Cluster Jewels: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Cluster_Jewel Your go-to Guide for Cluster Jewel mods: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2783927 Note: Large Cluster Jewels can create up to 12 Passive Skills (8 minimum), Medium Cluster Jewels can create up to 6 Passive Skills (4 minimum), and Small Cluster Jewels can create up to 3 Passive Skills (2 minimum). To avoid sacrificing too many Skill Points from the main part of your Skill Tree, it is often best to farm and buy Cluster Jewels that add the lowest amount of Passive Skills.
How to begin building a new Character in a nutshell:
Unless in the event of using Chaos Inoculation in your Build(s), the general rule of thumb when building your Character's Skill Tree is to take the shortest route possible and aim for at least 150-170%+ Life (for Casters) or at least 160-190%+ Life (for Melee). However, if you are using Chaos Inoculation and Energy Shield in place of Life, aim for at least 190-220%+ Energy Shield.
Furthermore, 200-230%+ damage at the very least for any damage type be it Melee-based or Spell-based from the Skill Tree alone is optimal, but if you can get more, get more. In other words, allocate as much Life (or Energy Shield) and defense be it Armour and/or Evasion you can get without also cutting yourself short on damage within 113 Skill Points gained altogether between leveling and doing quests at Level 90 (recommended). Why 113 Skill Points as the sweet spot? It is generally impractical to Level a character beyond Level 90 because any Level beyond Level 90 is not required to beat end-game content, that is, unless you are trying to score brownie points, you want to be up there with the very best on the Ladder, or you are just downright bored with nothing else to do. Furthermore, it is highly recommended you plan your Skill Tree first before gearing your character so you know what damage type, etc. to build around in your Build(s), and then work on researching and acquiring the Gear, Active Skill Gems and Support Gems you want. That is the basic knowledge you need to know to make a good Build for your Character(s). Your go-to Guide about Experience Gain, Experience Penalties, and Party Play: http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Experience Note: The most important thing to know when Partying with other Players is to never Party with Players 10+ Levels above your Level to receive the best Experience. Otherwise, what happens is higher level Players will leech Experience from all the lower level Players in the Party. This system is put in place to discourage power-leveling low level Players. //-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\ If you are interested in joining our Guild, send me or one of my Officers a message here on the site (or in-game if we are Online), and we will get to your Guild Invitation Request soon as possible : ) We look forward to have you join us. Guild Leader: HeavyMetalGear (me) Guild Officers: HollowPoint_ Patche5 Putter2012 List of all Guild Members: https://www.pathofexile.com/guild/profile/113792 Guild Member Capacity: 66/100 What's in it for me if I join this Guild? When you join our Guild, you will not only be met with other helpful, kind Guild Members, but you will also have access to 31 unlocked Guild Stash tabs (out of 75 tabs), including the other 44 locked Guild Stash tabs you can only donate (add) items to, but you cannot remove items from those tabs. Those who become Guild Officers will have access to all 75 Guild Stash tabs.
Open to read our 4 important Guild Rules
//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\
As Guild Leader, I try to remain not too oppressive and not too lenient by letting Guild Members have their right to freedom of speech and freedom of expression, but not to disorderly degrees. Our Guild Rules: 1. Do not spam the Guild Chat with obnoxious, repetitive or blatantly immature gibberish. 2. If you donate items to our Guild Stash, please be sure to place items in the correct tabs. 3. Young players can be mature and act like adults, too, but we prefer ages 17+ in our Guild. 4. We do not mind short spurts of profane words to express your amazed or disappointed frame of mind regarding item drops or somebody else's statement, but do not take it to offensive extremes. \\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//
Open to view our list of 75 organized Guild Stash tabs
Since Skill Gems can now be purchased from Nessa (Act 1), Yeena (Act 2), Clarissa (Act 3), and Petarus & Vanja (as a couple in Act 4), my Guild Members and I feel Skill Gem tabs in our Guild Stash are unnecessary. We want to encourage players to buy them from the vendors since buying Skill Gems from vendors is cheaper than what we used to charge for Skill Gems.
What items NOT to place in the Guild Stash
1. Skill Gems are not to be placed within the Guild Stash whatsoever to reduce clutter and the fact CTRL + Clicking items from the Guild Stash to your Inventory is currently not possible, that which makes organizing things like Skill Gems harder.
If you need certain Skill Gems, buy them from the Vendors or get Skill Gems from your Friends or other Guild Members in the Guild. 2. Unless they are decent leveling items, please do not donate useless items to the Guild Stash. Doing so will only cause clutter, and no one is likely to use them.

Open to read our Guild Stash Policy and about the resources we provide you
//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\
Our Guild Stash Policy and the resources we provide you: Whenever you donate or place items in any of the unlocked Guild Stash tabs for the sake of generosity or to free up your Stash space, do so at your own risk! We encourage you to only donate or place items in the Guild Stash you no longer need other Guild Members can put to good use. You can also donate (add) items to the locked Guild Stash tabs, yet you cannot take them out. Therefore, we do encourage you to only donate items to the locked Guild Stash tabs you won't regret putting in there in the first place. Those locked Guild Stash tabs are to secure our Guild resources (given only to those who really need them) from greedy or malicious Guild Members cleaning house. Furthermore, when you remove and use items from the Guild Stash, we really appreciate it when you put those items back (when you no longer need them) for other Guild Members who may need those items like when you needed them most, because that is the fair thing to do. \\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-//-\\-// List of Common Questions: How did you come up with the Guild name? Despite its low review scores, the name of our Guild was inspired by the movie League of Extraordinaire Gentlemen I thought was enjoyable. Does this Guild have or support Voice over Internet Communication (VoIC)? Yes. We have what is called Discord [link]. It is not absolutely mandatory to use it if you do not want to use it. Some of our Members use Discord, whereas other Members do not use Discord. Note: The info to connect to our Discord Server is available only to Guild Members within the Guild Status Message near the top of the Guild Window (located in the Social Panel). As Guild Leader, what kind of Guild Members are you and your Officers looking for? We are looking for kind and helpful Guild Members with a considerable amount of knowledge about PoE who like to run maps, who like to participate in Master runs (daily missions), who like to help other Guild Members in need from time-to-time and who, overall, enjoy playing Path of Exile. Furthermore, if you are a new player, that's fine! We will be willing to assist you throughout your gameplay if you have any questions or need help. As Guild Leader, what Leagues do you and your Guild Officers play? Our Guild plays Softcore Temp Leagues and Hardcore Temp Leagues. However, for those players who play permanent Standard and/or Hardcore, we only encourage playing the permanent leagues in the event of testing new character builds before enduring new challenges that await you in the new Standard Temp Leagues and Hardcore Temp Leagues. Otherwise, we encourage all our Guild Members to join us in the 3-month Temporary Leagues with a fresh start and a new economy. Furthermore, the Guild Stash in the Hardcore Leagues will have the same Stash Tab layout as the Guild Stash in the Standard Leagues, except when the Hardcore Leagues end, ALL the items that were in the Hardcore League Guild Stash Tabs (transferred to Hardcore) get unlocked, to which me and my Guild Officers will give our Guild Members from Hardcore the "Okay" to raid the Guild Stash from Hardcore. However, the above stated does not apply to Standard Leagues when they end. The reason for this is because it is easier for me and my Officers to maintain only 2 Guild Stashes from the Standard Leagues than 4 Guild Stashes if we were to also maintain the Hardcore League Guild Stashes. As Guild Leader, what do you expect from Guild Members? My motto in gaming is this: Expect less from players and you won't get hurt and/or flamed by those against elitism (oftentimes as a result of someone being an overzealous person or Guild Leader) However, that does not mean we expect absolutely nothing from Guild Members. The only things we expect from Guild Members, at the very least, is for everyone to be cordial to one another, to be social enough so we know you're alive, and to be fairly active. When I say we are looking for active players, my Officers and I do not expect Guild Members to be Online 24/7 playing Path of Exile. We just want Guild Members to be active enough so as to not lead us to believe you are completely dead in the Guild. Why are 44 out of 75 Guild Stash tabs locked? 44 out of our 75 Guild Stash tabs are locked because we want equality between Guild Members in which we do not want malicious, greedy members cleaning house from certain tabs, for example, all the Uniques tabs. Therefore, if anybody needs a particular item from a locked Guild Stash tab, let me or one of my Officers know and we will let you have only what you absolutely need from those locked tabs. Note: While only 31 unlocked Guild Stash tabs are completely accessible to all our Guild Members, the other 44 locked tabs are still accessible in that Guild Members can only donate (add) items to those locked Guild Stash tabs for other Guild Members to use. However, since those tabs are locked, Guild Members cannot remove items from those tabs after they add items to those tabs. If you were to point out one goal you are not trying to accomplish in the Guild as Leader, what would it be? While I cannot speak for my Officers, as Guild Leader, I am not trying to accomplish establishing the very best Guild so as to claim our Guild is the very best Guild for reason being entertaining such a thought is nothing more than an arrogant misplaced assumption. Every Guild has its pitfalls and/or things you may disagree with (including our Guild) no matter what Guild Leaders claim. That being said, my Officers and I will do the best we can do, and if our best is not the best to you, always remember we never promised to be the very best. Our promise is that we will do our best! Conclusion? If you join our Guild, we want you to join for what you originally joined for and to stay for a while, not join for what we never promised you, only to see you leave the very next day or in a week from your join date—and what we do not promise is the best Guild that ever was, because there is no evidence to support such a bold, inaccurate claim. Therefore, we never make such tall claims. If you want to join us, let us know. Thank you for your time.
