Chaos recipe(s): To ID or not ID??
|
That is the question!
I always feel like I will be missing out on a well rolled ammy/ring if I commit to leaving things un-ID'd and going for the 2 chaos recipe. Am I just psyching myself out of more currency, or is the chance of hitting a nice ring/ammy for personal use or re-sale too high to leave them un-ID'd. Do people run a system where they ID certain types (diamond ring, onyx ammy?) and leave the crap ones un-ID's (pua rings/ammy)??? Any insight appreciated! Cheers! |

do the recipe. Getting a good roll is like winning the jack pot in real life. GGG doesn't or never want you to gear up easily.

I found a few decent accessories in the past, but I haven't looked back since I stopped IDing them. Save up Chaos from the recipe and just buy what you want instead of identifying crappy accessories the vast majority of the time. The real drop money makers are uniques anyway, plus you'll have plenty of other items to identify (I assume you won't be saving bows, quivers, shields, and one-handers).
What I do is reserve 1 tab for unidentified items to use in the Chaos recipe, and 1 tab only. I use the recipe as soon as I can, but usually I'm waiting on extra rings to complete it, so I end up with a decent amount of unidentified items that I can't use yet. I reserve 4 spots each for two-handed weapons, body armour, helms, gloves, and boots, 10 spots for belts, and the remaining spots for rings and amulets. Once I fill up all slots for a type of item, I identify anything else I find. Usually this means that I'm not identifying any rings (since they seem to be the hardest to stockpile). I rarely identify amulets as well, but I identify so many other things that it doesn't matter. This season - no Chaos recipe.
P.S. But I get some nice stuff: |
|
|
use the unid recipe.
BUT do NOT vendor unid good bases. that way it is very unlikely to vendor a GG item that is worth a bag of exalts. if by a freak chance you vendor an item worth an exalt or two(highly unlikely) you are still making a profit by getting 2c for each pack. |
|
" Ugh...Those are vendor worthy |

Every unid rare you throw in the chaos recipe is worth a minimum of 2 exalts.
I thought this was known? Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

Lot of ring amu can be sell for 5-10chaod, sometimes few ex.
Maybe its not worth to id if you play std league beacause there is already to Many item If you are mfer and kill dominus all day why not but if you play Map id your item its really better Last edited by keta#3989 on Oct 28, 2014, 10:54:17 AM

I used 200+ chaos to get something like this.
I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

Early in a new league: I'd all jewelry - 1 chaos recipe the junk
Later in a league or the perm leagues: always do unid 2 chaos recipe, but always Id 75+ and do the 1 regal recipe for the junk Imo, in late league or perm leagues, The amount of currency you pile up from doing the unid 2 chaos recipe will almost always be greater than the 'maybe i'll get lucky and find/sell a nice one', you can just pile up the chaos and actually buy a nice one yourself. |
