Encourage PVP by adding new reward: PvP Passives
I got this idea in order to encourage players to play PvP matches:
Everytime you finish a PvP team match, you will be rewarded with som pvp points. • Winner team will earn X points and loser team will earn X/2 points. • These points can be used to unlock passives from a new PvP-only passive tree (accesible from a button in the regular passive window). Example: After 1000 points you can unlock one of the following passives: • + 3% Movement Speed • + 3% Attack Speed • + 10 Life • + 10 Mana • + 10 Energy Shield • + 3% Chaos resistance • + 3% Elemental resistance After 3000 points you can unlock one of the following passives: • + 5% Movement Speed • + 5% Attack Speed • + 15 Life • + 15 Mana • + 15 Energy Shield • + 5% Chaos resistance • + 5% Elemental resistance After 5000 points you can unlock one of the following passives: • -5% damage from other Players. • +5% damate to other players. . . . . And so • It's up to GGG to decide id these passives will have effect only on Pvp or PvE as well. • And also, it's up to them to find a way to prevent exploit from players ;P |

Requiring people to pvp in order to get a reward that is better pvp stats, does not seem like a good reward or incentive for new players. it does not encourage new players to try pvp because the reward is, a btr pvp char.
In fact, this system only benefits dedicated pvp players who will put the time needed to reach the 5k rewards. This means when a new pvper tries to reach his 5k, he will be facing other guys that were already stronger than him but are now stronger from these rewards. Rewards that buff pvp based characters isn't a good direction to take. If you want to add perks to pvp do it in the form of MTX quality skins and effects or orb prizes.
As far as passives and pvp go, we should have a limited amount of points given to us that we can use to fill out a pvp based mini tree consisting of just a few dozen nodes. That is separate from the existing tree. A few dozen nodes that address critical multiplier + reduction, status ailment boosts + reductions, dodges/blocks...etc..etc.. We are given just enough points to where you have to strategically take them and can't take them all. Example 48 nodes, cleverly thought out and spread out. We get 10 points to allocate, no more. GGG, the ADA of gaming....huuuur i gotz mai skilz.

Only PVP MTX prizes that can not be bought in the shop, traded anyhow, u can just reclaim them when u gather enough PVP points. That's my opinion on the matter.
Introducing imbalance via PVP points character buffing or introducing more orbs into economy via PVP is not a good idea IMO. Having a little shiny skin that tells people who care u're a mean mf is enough. I do agree on the PVP part on the tree with Mulla, would be great. But that would take a lot of consideration by the dev to be remotely balanced - appealing but not overpowered. What if the reward was 10min with slightly higher iir and iiq for the winner? Would be abusable if it could be stacked though.

Rewards should not impact gameplay at all. Neither pvp nor pve.
