HC1M #10 - lvl 96 - Soul Taker tank marauder

Hey,

they are some people who asked me to post my gear and stuff. So here's the thread for it. It's basically a pretty simple build that came up on Invasion I believe. I'm not playing for that actually so I can't tell for sure. I first tried this build on Standard and I fell in love with it <3. It's just so good. You can do every map, you can switch out gear to be able to adapt to certain situations. You can even farm Atziri which I also did in this league. 20 runs in, unfortunately neither a hope piece nor a sceptre dropped. Best I got was a 30% fire belt, which I didn't even manage to sell :D.

Anyway, let's check out my gear.


I managed to get some really awesome gear actually. Both rings and the belt are selffound, I bought the gloves like 10 days ago. They weren't really necessary, but they are a nice addition since they provide chaos res. I'm still to divine to 2% life leech, 3 divines already failed QQ. I think my pot setup is pretty standard. I like 2 instant flasks, one with remove bleeding and the other with dispels frozen. The granite scales well with the aegis and the curse immune quicksilver is also a must have. In addition to that I like the Atziri flask for extra damage and leech. And especially for some chaos damage invaders the additional 35% chaos res really help a lot. I'm slight positive on chaos res while flask is on.

Let's check out some gear I switch in from time to time.


The saffell's is used for heavy spell damage bosses/exiles/invaders. Since I don't wanna miss any boss drops besides Palace boss (not really worth the risk without a culler), I like to switch that in to get the loot :D. The Atziri step's were mostly used for the Atziri runs, but I sometimes wear them when doing the crema boss. Just gives some extra health and add spell dodge which really makes you immune to spell damage. I guess I don't have to explain much for the pots. Though the sapphire might be a little interesting. I only use that when I do -max maps with additional cold damage. Then this flasks becomes really handy. The LGOH gem is used for really hard maps with like vuln and double dmg etc. So as long as I'm spinning I won't die (hopefully xd). The life leech gem was only used for Atziri and I guess the aura gems are self-explanatory.

I usually run hatred and determination. With hatred I have 17k tool tip dps, which is decent imo. Armour is around 12k and res are 79/83/79. Life is 6.351 which is okay, but since I use a phys belt with only 58 life, there's much room for more life actually. You can play around a lot with this build. Its pretty easy to switch between more damage and tankiness. On my other Aegis marauder on Hardcore I use this belt for example.



This one obviously provides much more HP and the extra ES makes the char slightly more tanky. It's just up to you how comfortable you feel.

soul taker + bor + aegis in 1 month ?...fuck im so bad at this game

I leveled with searing bond until around level 80, then I switched to flame totem culler and started playing a group. Thats how you actually get the currency to afford the good stuff. Obviously you need some luck too, but I was playing a shit ton at that time. So it was just a matter of time until I got enough currency. Also my buddies helped me out too :)
