Steampunk-ish MTX armor set

Since there seems to be some elements of steampunk tossed into this game (Dominus's area, portal effects, etc), I'd like to see a set with some elements - something kind of like this:



Please bear in mind, I'm not talking about a sci-fi cyborg skin, adding muskets and crossbows, or sexy outfits for the female characters. I've just noticed certain artistic touches in the game that I'd like to see more of.

I'd actually like this, although I'd want the design to be perhaps a bit more simplistic than what you're thinking. Steampunk's great in small doses, but after a certain point it just feels like "WHEEE! GEARS!".

I'd suggest a dying/corrupt aristocrat outfit. To give an approximate formula using in-game aesthetics:

Gravicius (center)

Plus Zidzislaw Beksinski

Plus Dominus style mechanical additions (i.e. his bracers)


The outfit then has a bit of a story built into it - early Oriathin noble comes to wraeclast before the turn in order to adventure/seek his fortune, but is caught up in the catalclysm that corrupts the land. Try to prolong his sane/"wholesome" life by fixing and mending his failing body body with gear, or control the powers the corruption gives him while maintaining his humanity/sanity.

main reason i upgraded to the champion pack has been the portal.
i played bioshock solely for this reason and enjoyed the athmosphere.

BTW GGG, if you complete the 3D art for the unique Storm Cloud bow, it would be a great start to more steampunk styled gear. ;)

I quite like the first and second pictures in relation to PoE's art style (minus the sword in the first and the weird back attachment in the second. PoE's art works better when it's more subtle, in my opinion).

And agreed. Storm Cloud has great 2d art, needs the 3d art to match.

I really appreciate the addition of the Storm Cloud 3D art in game, but one can always hope for more...

Found some pretty cool weapons with this theme done - MTX skins or unique weapons with this art would be nice to see in game.

You're right about the spoiler tag.

I disagree with you about the game not being steampunkish. Though its not a overarching theme, there are definitely elements of it scattered about - and since there are people who play the game who appreciate that genre, added some MTXs and uniques wouldn't hurt.
