Acquiring Item Level 1 Uniques

As you may know, certain uniques, like Sidhebreath, are item level 1.
This should mean that the only place to drop them is the Twilight Strand on Normal mode. As you may know, you can't go back to this area once you've cleared it. Does this mean the only way to get these items is to gamble them, or keep rerolling level 1 chars until they drop? |

I don't understand why Twilight Strand is the only place they can drop? I found a level 1 unique from Merveil.

You can always get lower level uniques/items in higher level areas.

Monsters drop items from level 1 up to around their level, you will be finding lots of level 1 items throughout the game.

I thought mobs always dropped the item level of the zone they are in. (Blue mobs +1, rares +2)

Sure not ... , items drop are bad in PoE imo , they dont match zone you are.

" You're confusing required level with item level. Item level is always the same as the mob that dropped the item, but items with a lower required level can still drop from higher level monsters. Item level can change the value of mod rolls on an item, but not the base (white) item itself. For example, you can get a sidhebreath amulet that only requires level 1 but has an ilvl of 70. To see the ilvl of an item, hold it on your cursor and type /itemlevel in chat. |
