[CI][HC viable] Dual strike Marauder - rip off #1 Exalton's shadow build

I was always fascinated by builds going through all the tree sections for the best results possible and getting most unique build possible. Seeing the Exalton's guide made me wonder if his build would be doable as marauder and from pure statistical analysis, yes it actually would.

Tree clone to his 117 point build



Build is based on CI with weapon combo Bloodseeker + Soul Taker in order to have all Auras possible and be independent on the mana pool for attacks.

Purely purpose of starting as Marauder would be the access for -20% dmg from crits and additional 2% max resistance - with the possibility to go to 100% resist cap with flasks - immunity.

Only pure loss is lack of Iron Reflexes , with generates lots of lost armor without Grace conversion. Otherwise the build should be solid in all other ways

+2% passive life leech (converted to ES), Instant with Bloodseeker
+2 max res
-20% dmg from crits

IR compensated partially with +66% more armor in tree.

This build might be madness, but clearly doable, and clearly HC viable :)

Is not worth the loss of a buffed to hell grace IR imo. Be nice to see how it goes though.

I ran across this thread in the shadow forums describing this build from a shadow perspective. The build is quite easy to do as a marauder. Here is the link to the build I utilized:

Obviously a decent AR/ES and Soul Taker are crucial to the success of this build. I also dumped Haste for Grace and picked up Iron Reflexes Node. Physical Damage Reduction jumped from 29% to 58%! If you add in 4 endurance charges, physical damage reduction is at 74%. ES is 5962. I wish it were a bit higher, but I need better armor for that. DPS, minus haste and with blood rage, is roughly 29.5k.

So far, so good. Here is my gear (still working on the potions):

Unwavering Stance and then not take IR?
Takes out the beauty of the build.. I can't believe you cannot compensate the points by skipping a bit at shadow start and witch start to get a route across beneath shadow start area to IR with about 100 pts..
