Conqueror Pack - no cool weapon effects?

What happened to all the awesome weapon effects from the older supporter packs that blow away even the best mtx effects?

Seems like you really don't get a whole lot with the most expensive pack now.

How about bringing back some of those effects?

I don't think it's so bad that they did something a little different this time around actually. I already have more than enough pets and a pretty good selection of weapon effects to choose from, so having the portal effects this time around was a nice change.

I don't know what any of them are called, but they glow bigger and brighter than even the Arctic effect (which I purchased only to see that it does not even come close, albeit much better and more detailed than the others available). There is such a great level of detail in those older effects. The same is true for pets. I saw a player running around with a firebird or a Phoenix of some sort. Nothing like that is currently available.

I'm not saying they did anything bad. I was just hoping to have those as an option - be it an mtx or part of a pack so the people that missed them have a way to get them. It does not even have to be the same as the older packs if the intent was for exclusivity, but I don't see anything currently in the mtx offerings that rival those older effects.

Each 'pack' set has had different focuses

The original was just a pet

OB was a weapon (though there was the rhoas I suppose)

now its portal effect + back attatchment



I like that they aren't all the same thing, but are instead DIFFERENT effects

I wish there will be skin similar to divine one i mean with the Feathers effect. But maybe in different color or smth.

Perhaps in place of a weapon effect, GGG decided that they would offer three Conqueror microtransactions.

- A gnarly in-game character portrait
-A dope back attachment
-A swag portal effect

I would advise against doing weapon affects again, as they would marginalized the affects already in place , or conversely not live up to the old ones.

frankly i would recommend a supporter mtx for the shield slot and perhaps a clothing slot.
maybe glowing runes or an actual shield skin (since a shield skin works on all shields)
you may also want to consider putting supporter foot print affects that are in line with the older supporter affects. perhaps a glowing symbol in the foot prints as well has having a slightly more pronounced glow too them?

or if you do make a new weapon supporter mtx , you make it a item skin rather than an item effect, then of course how you you do multiple weapons ... sounds like it would be a bunch of work to distinguish it from the old weapon effects. .




infact , I assume you guys are still backlogged on uniques , you might want to just do a bunch of mtxs this time around rather than relying on heavy things like "designing your own unique" / monsters and only having one or two mtx's to choose from.
