Teleporting

When you begin the game, you are in town in act I. Is it possible to teleport to an area which you have previously visited ?
I'm asking because I find it tedious to have to do the whole run each time. |

There are Waypoints in certain Zones, that you can "teleport" to once you've "activated" them (clicking them once.)

How do I teleport ? I press U and click on the zone ?

Lioneye's (the first town) has a waypoint. To use it you need to activate a second waypoint so you have somewhere to travel to. The coast doesn't have a WP, neither does Tidal Island. The nearest one is Mud Flats which connects to the Coast zone. The Mud Flats WP is just inside the entrance so you can't miss it. In some zones it can take a while to find the WP if it has one.
To activate the WP: for some you have to actually click on them to activate. For others you only have to come within sight of them and they are automatically active. Check the Wiki to find out which zones have waypoints. http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Waypoint#Zones_with_Waypoints |

" Not true. Some you only need to enter the instance to get the waypoint. Additionally, I know that all you need to do to get into the Sarn Encampment is step into City of Sarn. At that point, you can quit out and you'll either spawn into or can WP into the encampment. Not sure about the other two acts, as I haven't tried it. |

Also, after killing Brutus you don't even have to step out to get the Prisoner's Gate WP.
