Looking forward to this.
The Brute stuck me in a pillar with his grab, and that was that. Couldn't move, couldn't TP to escape :(

I wish they would fix this already.
Does anyone do Shadow at all in these races - I cant really figure out how to kill pagan or if I do get past Brutus - Real struggle which admittedly is pretty lame considering skills other class get, for example witch who can 2 shot them with storm call/flameblast).

Any advice appreciated.

Yes, I just ran shadow. I firetrap plus freezing pulse. You will melt groups of enemies. For bosses run a dagger/sword/claw on your off hand, switch to it for viper strike. Get as many stacks as you can on the boss, then flip back to lay traps and kite with freezing pulse. I got to hatestorm following the stormy ledge. He took me out unfortunately. I had been silly and didn't change out my pots on stormy ledge, plus had to run a few groups because of how much shocked ground there was. Overall did well.
So is it recommended to clear or almost clear areas? I ran into the issue of not being high enough level to use the stuff I was getting from the Curious Chests. Ended up dying to The Brute at level 10, got him to about 40% before I desynch-died.
Damn it, died at 20,5 in Inner Halls 2. First time I would have reached the lvl 22 threshold. gnah
Alched an awesome mace, one shot most white mobs until the Inner Halls. Was really underleveled though lol.

Not being able to immediately use stuff from chests is normal. You don't really want to full clear anything until the Halls. You want to be 2-3 levels under the next zone when you start it. I aim to be 11 for The Brute.
