purity of fire and +max fire resists

is there some kind of calculator which shows when the max +fire resist of this aura changes?

how many +level gems and how much %increased (aura) buffs do you need for which amounts of max fire res? where are the thresholds?

And keep in mind that increased aura/buff effect will round down, not up.

Purity of Fire basically has 6 steps:

0- 4 -> 0% max-res
5-10 -> 1%
11-16 -> 2%
17-19 -> 3%
20-22 -> 4%
23-30 -> 5%

Now it is basic math, exspecially since the resulting resistance is gained by always rounding down, never up (basically the game just cuts the dezimals). If yo want to double you need more than 100% increased effect, which is your own buff-effect and the auras owner aura-effect. If you want to go from 4 to 7 you need at least 75% increased effect.

There are 5 sources of Aura-Effect on the Tree and 2 for Buffeffect:

Aura-Effect:

Sovereignty -> 28%
Charisma -> 8%
Leadership -> 8%
Influence -> 26%
Cluster near Unwavering Stance -> 8%

the total is 78%

Buff-Effect:

Inner Force -> 21%
Holy Strength -> 3%

the total is 24%

If you don't want to pick up the far away nodes near unwavering stance you only need 80% increased effect to reach the maximum of 9% max-res (considering you use Alphas Howl and a lvl21 Purity. This allows you to drop one of the 8% nodes near Sovereignty and Holy Strength (although it is likely it is picked up for the HP anyway).

so there is absolutely no difference between a lvl 20 purity of fire and a lvl 22 purity of fire? if you have 25% increased buffs, you will gain 1 max fire resist with lvl20 and lvl22?

you cannot get 25% increased buffs from the tree, only 24 which means the 4% max res from lvl 20-22 purities is on the verge of being bumped to 5% but not quite there since it rounds down. (24% of 4= 0.96 sadface)
unless it is not seperate from the increased aura effects and is added all together.
but to my knowledge it isn't, so you require a 21 purity with alpha howl to make it 23 which means 5% + 24% effect gives it another 1% making it 6%, a whopping 2% higher.

If you have at least 25% increased aura effect you will get 5% max res at level 20 instead of 4%.

It's fairly easy to get that, as you can get 28% from the cluster near the templar tree alone.

Buff effect isn't needed, but it can help. If you're going RF, note the buff effect also increases the self damage.
