difficulty levels?

i read somewhere thats there will be difficulty levels,so, like diablo, finish normal, go to nightmare etc, or players choice like sacred was?

I wouldn't mind knowing this also, and if it is the players choice, what are the benefits of doing an area on a higher difficulty? More/better loot and more xp?

true, how about set items? differnt/improved stats scaled by difficulty?

Has there been any confirmation that there will be set items?

i really hope it is diablo style instead of say torchlight style. i want the dif levels to be a sort of progression not a choice

I didn't get the impression that there would be difficulty levels per se. The level cap is 100, it would take years to reach it, and encounters get harder the more people in your group.

So if you want harder then you need to roll with 7 friends.

the game world can only be so big. if you gotta grind the same monster for 50 levels it will suck big time lol

I'll be honest, I see this as a sequel to Diablo. And that's why I'm interested in the fame. I obviously want it to walk on its own legs, mature its own way and have unique features, but it is what it is. The devs should be proud of their own work whenever someone compares this to Diablo or expect the same kind of quality after seeing just a little bit of the gameplay. Diablo is one of the best games in history and PoE is already being put side by side with it.
