Mace/Shield LS Templar with Video and writeup(Written for New Players)
Yes true that, the iron grip is just if I end up with lots of evasion by accident.
What are your thoughts on the dps aspect, will I be able to kill stuff on cruel and leech enouth life for my blood magic? Should I get more elemental dmg nodes or some mace dmg nodes? After all, is my build any viable :P? Greets |

Dude, you changed your build but not the gear. Alot of that is caster gear. Get rid of that evasion crap and get more armor, health, and resists.

" I've read that you really need life on hit support gem and decent life leech to make blood magic viable. You should get both elemental and mace damage nodes. There's another thread here talking about a build pretty similar to yours that takes blood magic and goes deep into the marauder side of the tree. I can't find it right now but if someone else knows the thread I'm talking about and could link that'd be great. |

Hi, I just switched from a Ground Slam Templar to this build but I have some problems with it. With Ground Slam I could basically do most groups without getting any damage, but with this Lightning Strike build I just feel like I have to tank everything and my HP is dropping really hard sometimes. Anyone got advice on how to play it properly?

Whats best for the build, added lightning damage or weapon elemental damage?

Thanks for your reply(s) Healthy. I think I will give your initial build a go, with a few modifications.
I came up with a few changes, which take Eldrich Battery in consideration: Complete build I really like the complete build. But the big question for me is, which nodes to take first (lvl 20-50) and past lvl 50. Because Mana will be a problem at the beginning I guess - while defense/armor/life won't be too important in normal and even beginning of merciless mode. What do you think of it? I thought your build wasted a bit too many nodes within the connection of the Templar and Marauder tree part. Those Str, Dex and Int nodes in the middle arent too necessary I think. But on the Marauder tree are some nice +%phys dmg nodes aswell as +%life nodes. Plus I didnt take the "Body and Soul" nodes, because the +%ES would be not very helpful when going with EB I guess. So those 6 points are still available. Also avoided some of the "Bulward" and "Fitness" nodes. As an Alternative for going all the way up to Eldrich Battery you could also go for Iron Grip, which should give LS (as its partly a projectile skill) a fair dmg boost. Tell me what you think of it guys :) Last edited by DJSRP#5494 on Jan 29, 2013, 2:38:04 PM
