Nithryoks Nem/HC Glacial hammer Shatter build solo play

Hello all, I have been working on a new build! And it is time to release it!

Build focus on glacial hammer. Glacial hammer you say? Yes! It is a good under used skill which is why I made a build around it! It shatters mobs at 1/3 hp as opposed to 20% like a normal shatter. Glacial hammer also has a 25% chance to freeze.

Poor life leech/mana leech

Pro's,
Near max block/spell block, CC, some regen, decent dps, very tanky.

It focus on high block, some regen, while still being able to solo maps. I have tested this build solo up to lvl 73 maps thus far.

Here is a break down of the gear.


The gear is a little expensive, the most expensive part being aegis and the weapon. I just got that weapon for 4ex last night and it gave me a 800 dps boost, as opposed to my old weapon which I got for 15 chaos. If you cannot get a aegis, I would run a carnage heart or slither pinch gloves to help make up for leech till you can get it off rings/jewlery.

For links right now I am running, Glacial hammer, Multistrike, increased melee phyiscal damage, melee splash, weapon elemental damage. These might not be the best links, I have not tried different gems in about 20 levels so things may have changed. Added cold may be a good option for more chance to freeze.

For curse I run blood magic, increased duration, elemental weakness in a group IF no one else is, for solo I use frostbite for a greater chance to freeze.

Enduring cry solo, can be used on BM

For auras, I run determination, hatred, with reduced mana, then tempest, reduced mana, mana leech, and iron will. I was just able to start running this last night so I will be testing it today. My hope is that it will provide enough leech on single target to always be able to attack. If it does not, I will swap out mana leech for blind.

For movement I use leap slam, linked in with faster attacks, endurance charge on stun, and blind. Charge on stun is nice because it allows you to keep up charges from pack to pack and if you can maintain charges then you don't have to use enduring cry and it saves you an action.



Stats: Right now I'm sitting at 7.5k glacial hammer dps and I tested it with a +27% wed neck and a rustic sash as toss on gear for testing and it boosted the damage to 8.2k. So my next 4 points will go into getting catalyst and the 2 other armor nodes in duelist area. Currently at 8k armor and near 600 es. I would like to end up at 10k armor and 800 es with aegis that would mean every 2 blocks you get your full es returned. Currently at 4.2k hp, I dropped out of 3 hp nodes to be able to run tempest shield, which only lost me 300 hps, but in turn let me mana leech and gain 4% block, bringing me to 66% block and 57% spell block. This build also has about 250 HPS regen ( that is a rough number I don't remember the exact number. ) My goal is to reach 10k dps glacial hammer, with 70% block and 60% spell block or higher. and be able to afk merci dom and other map boss's.

Really like the look of this build, going to try it out when I level more. Do you think this build will be ok to level with or should i just stick to something easy and transition into it later?

When I made this build I was originally ground slam, and then switched to glacial hammer since I could not get enough dps with ground slam.

I'm running g/s atm as well. How does it go compared to gs in aoe until you hit high level melee splash? Is it your single and AoE skill?
