I don't see how to get 150'ish dex to max level the gem out unless I am missing something. Someone care to explain?

You already need 109 dex to max faster attack anyway so your not that far from it

used to run with Ground slam in the beggings of open beta, then i switched to LA ranger, then I took a break xd

now i'm rolling a mara using this build, lvl 64 at the end of a3 merci, dying alot and shameful dps.. 1700 with Ground Slam and 2700 on Heavy Strike. what am i doing wrong?
i have 2k hp and this is my gear atm

Focus on maxing your resists and try to get a 5L armor for ground slam

update o.11.2 reworked the ranger area in the skill tree...

shall i get the chaos resistance and movement speed near the iron reflexes??

if so, what level should i get those?

i'm currently level 52, a3, standard league...

btw, thanks for your build...

So we should be keeping Iron Reflexes or not with the recent change? My marauder doesn't have any evasion gear anyways - all armor. Does it make a difference? Or should we spec out of it?

You will get majority of DEX for Faster Attacks anyway, so it's like 44 DEX for 1,344 Armor...
but wait, it's then multiplied by %armor (137%) which result in 3,162 armor...
but if you would run aura (and you probably would) that gives additional 51% of armor; it will result in 3,871 armor
but if you would additional use a flask with "Iron Skin" mod, which gives maximum 100% armor (and you probably would); it will result in 5,215 armor
Now we miss those ~30% for evasion. Prepatch it would result in 5,626 armor, so we loose 411 by IR nerf.

Well, over 5k armor for just 44 DEX? It hell worth it!

I recommend keeping Iron Reflexes. Now we miss those ~30% for evasion, and it's not a reason to resign from it.

So am tired of never being able to get past merc cause my classes builds are mostly gear dependent or i have a lack of finding decent priced mid gear. Now with this patch my 60 mara just got a full reset. Been reading this guide and I want to try it. Now i have some Q gems to help but sadly it seems most of these gems might be level 1 to start off with...Any tips to avoiding a faceroll trying to equip these? (Was thinking going lower levels where i can handle and level gems to a point) Thanks for the guide and hopefully a response! Happy Hunting

This guide is good but simply not for HC. You will die a lot using just Ground Slam and HS.

Being using this guide since 1v1. Just want to say that this build completely is useless. Pretty much it's just like ww bard in Diablo 3. If you don't have beyond awesome gears in cruel difficulty, you will have to kite with ground slam. With champions and bosses, you are pretty much wasting your XP.

This build is not "Newbie Friendly" at all. If you are completely new to this game or this class, please ignore this build. Otherwise, you will be wasting tremendous amount of your life to try to regain XP you lost when you are dead.
