Dual Screen - Keep maximised despite fulllscreen?

I run dual screens, and I'd like to find a way to keep PoE maximised on one screen despite alt tabbing.

I don't want to run in fullscreen windowed if possible, for 2 main reasons:
1. In fullscreen windowed, the mouse isn't contained in the window, which means I can accidentally click outside of the game window instead of inside it, which can be deadly.

2. The graphics are MUCH smoother running in fullscreen rather than windowed.


Essentially, I am hoping there is a way to cause the game not to minimize while alt-tabbing, despite being in fullscreen, that doesn't involve running in windowed mode. Is this possible?

Well, I answered my own question. There is no way to do it naturally in windows, you need an application to enable it. Through a random google search, I found "Actual Multiple Monitors", which allows you to set rules on a per program basis, which does what I need it to do. It doesn't contain the mouse in the window unfortunately, but it does keep it maximised despite alt-tab, which is great! No more dieing when I alt tab to look up a gem :s

You can try this question on many forums (eve online and world of warcraft pop to mind first) but "Windowed Fullscreen" exists to provide the closest thing to what you are wanting. True full screen will result in your need of the computer to have focus of that screen.

I agree this would be handy, since I run multiple monitors as well. I'll also try some of the above suggestions. A full-screen windowed option would be a great addition.

Read my second post, I posted a solution. Unfortunately the software is a 30 day demo, but that gives me 30 days to find a permanent solution :D

try a simple programme called "Mouseclip" run it when you run PoE ..you set it to whatever size box you want in your screen resolution and your Scroll lock button toggles it on or off !!
