Can't set Steam-Version to borderless windowed mode
Error: "Failed resetting Direct3D device objects."
used launch arguments: --softwareaudio (thanks creative) Steps to reproduce: - Launch PoE in fullscreen - Go to options - set display mode to windowed fullscreen - click apply display settings Things I already did: - I reset production_config.ini - I reinstalled the DirectX redist package - I updated my drivers - I can run borderless window mode if I elevate the Steam privileges prior to running PoE Things worthy of note: - I can run the game in fullscreen using the same settings - I used to be able to use the same settings (copied from a production_config.ini backup) prior to the Steam Release - Steam Overlay is disabled Hardware Summary: - ASUS P8Z68-V Rev 1.xx - Intel i5-2500k stock-settings - AMD Radeon HD6850 stock-settings - 16 Gigabytes of Corsair DDR3-1600@CL9 - Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty extreme gamer edition Software Summary: - Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit - Windows Defender - DNSCrypt - Steam - relevant drivers (up-to-date) - RadeonPro

just edit the production_Config.INI and set fullscreen to false and the borderless line to true.. then start poe.

If that would work I wouldn't have posted, failure on my end to clarify.
It doesn't work. |

do you run any software that puts overlays into the game window? DirectX overlays?

I listed all relevant software and their overlay status, the answer is no.

Exact same issue and also when I alt tab out, regardless of how long I have been alt tabbed out, when I go back to the game I get logged out. The weird part about not being able to change to windowed mode for me is that when I first started it was set to windowed mode. Please can someone help us out? There is a lot of hassle when I want to look something up and I am in a party or just looking stuff up in general. Please.
-edit- I'm also on steam too. Last edited by enjoyglife#2417 on Jan 2, 2014, 10:05:28 AM
