Solo League. (Hardcore and Softcore.)

Due to the huge discussion with FFA loot and people who dont want to play together because of the way loot works, it could perhaps be an idea with a solo league.

I mean GGG can make solo events... I dunno if its possible to make permanent solo leagues aswell?

The idea is that you are completely alone (Fits with the name Path Of Exile.) You cant interract with other players at all other than 28 low lvl PvP and Merciless PvP. You cant trade with them, and you cant play with them. You can still chat with them and stuff like that.

All the items you find are the ones you are going to get. This has something good and bad to it. (IMO)

The good thing about is that it offers more replay value to look for that exact unique item you want for your build(s).

The bad thing about is that it can take quite a long time to find this item... but hey... you will find a bunch of other unique items instead... Dont start out as a facebreaker build in this one :D.

....Its like Diablo 2 singleplayer basically.


...Or is this just some crazy dumb idea I came up with? Negative feedback is welcome...Aswell as positive of course.

Also, as it currently is, you can drop items during PvP, so that would allow people to "trade" if they negotiated a price on the forum or something.

I think it would also kinda suck to continually grind for something and never find it, but find a bunch of other good stuff that you can't trade for what you want.

There's nothing stopping them from playing in the regular leagues - they can choose not to party :p

I've played my fair share and I've never actually partied and played in a group, only joined them to trade. But from what I understand, if a party establishes looting rules and everyone sticks to them, there's no big problem.

Sometimes people just need to grow up a little and deal with things as they are: PoE has FFA loot, that's most likely not going to change, so make rules for your party and follow them. Simple, no?

Sure sure not that I have a problem with the FFA loot myself... It just seems to be a big discussion atm.

Ur right that they can just play alone in normal league then... The only reason that I wanted it to be a league for itself was for competetive reasons. (Imagine a 1-week solo only race. Trading is not allowed.)
