So uh, why isn't every race fixed? Makes more sense to me.
Some fixed races from time to time is fine. Not nearly as much as there should be.

If you want to be the best - you need to invest time in practice. One of ways to improve your speed is to learn map patterns and know there to go even without seeing all map. Some people make 10+ instances of same zone and study them etc. So in my opinion it's fine with occasional Fixed race, but not all of them.

Fair enough I suppose.
Actually no, I take that back, couldn't it just be fixed for everyone without revealing the map? Their practice still wouldn't go to waste, just everyone would have the same zones. I dunno.

Cheating stuffs... Talking with friends.. Example:

I run to Hailrake, my friend in solo race don't - he tells me where are 3 thingies in mudflats and then where to go in lower/upper submerge. I catch up because of that and i have flask too.

well, the monster spawn rng is probably a bigger difference in race results anyway, and thats not connected to the map layout. also, if everyone has the same layout, then a farmzone will always have the same layout for you, and thats more a feature of the fixed seed races.
