Incinerate causing terrible desync for player and allies

Was checking to see if anyone else had this issue. For a while, I just figured it was my connection, but everything teleports around here and there when I'm chain-casting incinerate. Turns out, everyone in my party gets the desync issues, too. As fun as it was to almost RIP people on Merci Brutus Nemesis by adding even MORE desync to the fight, I'm curious if this is an issue that can be resolved.

To clarify, I tested this out quite a bit. If I follow people in my party, spam casting Arctic Breath, the issue isn't there for me or others. It's only when I'm casting Incinerate that the problem occurs. Any other Incinerators out there experience this? I've tried messing around with the links, too, and the only thing that seems to help is removing LMP. When I'm on voice chat with my friends, we all resync/desync at the same time and as soon as I'm gone or I stop casting, everyone's connection is fine.

I posted on the PoE reddit seeing if anyone had some issues, and apparently there is some more complaints. And on the skill feedback forum, another person was complaining about this same exact thing. It's getting to the point where I have almost RIP'd doing simple content because of this constant and bizarre mini-teleporting.

I made a (poor as hell quality) video of the little hops with incinerate and how they aren't there with Arctic Breath. There's more footage, but I didn't want the YouTube upload taking all too long, so I cut it short. I did eventually switch back to incinerate in the video, and the issues were there once again.
Looking at both the incinerate and the arctic breath, both were desynced as both were damaging mobs that were behind or outside the damage area of both spells, you may not notice the resync on arctic breath like you do with incinerate because of the cast animation...even incinerates resync is tiny...and most of that by the looks of it is caused when you run about and though groups of monsters rather than the spell itself.

I see what you mean. So, if I were to type /oos while casting either, it would have the same rubberbanding effect, but incinerate is just making the resync more noticeable?

You might not see it with artic breath due to the cast animation, the animation for it is relativity complex where as incinerate is the character holding a stance with hand extended and it doesn't even move from that position unless you rotate it...even then it swivels the character and the stance remains the same and unbroken, any resync like that is very noticeable

I see what you're saying. Perhaps my video is a poor example, but why would it be that partying with people on my incinerate character causes the same resync issues for other players? When I'm on my EA character, things are fine. As soon as I log onto my incinerator and join a party, everyone is complaining that they are teleporting around, they can't hit mobs, etc.

If it were just a notice-ability thing, why would it be causing others to suffer?

Not sure why it would be a problem in group, there are set parameters to getting resynced that would be more prevalent on the incinerator than a proper full ranged character, one that comes to mind is a change they made months back to combat resyncing which would force a resync anytime you were stunned and out of position, though i have absolutely no idea if the resync would be for the whole instance.

Alright. Well, I appreciate the help. I guess practicing the common "avoid desync" will be the best option.

Guys I just switched to Incinerate at lvl 40, using Spectral Throw without any bigger desync issues than the usual. The instant I switched over to my decked out incinerate kit, its absolutely insane. I keep mini-warping up and the mobs too, its like desync-hell with this gem tbh. Makes me feel a bit sad, since I really like how the build is coming out, but the desync is just.. ugh.
IIRC the skill has an automatic /oos functionality built in. So what you are seeing is not de-sync being caused, but the client being force-resynched when the skill is used, the same as if you would type /oos. GGG actually coded it that way on purpose, I suppose because it locks you in place, so unlike with a normal melee or ranged skill, you will never close distance with an enemy who isn't exactly where they appear to be.

You're most likely not any more or less out of sync than if you were using any other skill, it's just that it is made more visually noticeable.
