Questions about Evasion
Hi, I'm starting an evansion-based character for the first time , and was wondering how evasion works. Doubt came by because in stats there's a "chance to evade" value which doesn't say "estimated" (like physical damage reduction), however I believe monster's accuracy probably matters as well. So basically I'd like to know if there's a cap for "chance to evade" , and if it's a REAL cap (so that once i reach, i wont have to worry about evasion anymore), or I should keep increasing my evasion even if I reach it.
Are "dode" nodes worthy? or it won't be necessary with high evasion? Thanks. Last edited by Drkzaleos#0760 on Nov 19, 2013, 10:49:31 AM

Cap is at 95% evasion. For evasion rating there is no cap, monster with the attribute Accuracy lower your cap or better to say it is your evasion against there accuracy rating. So most player with Evasion take in addition a shield or otehr gear for a high block rating (then you have most of the time a chain like: evade-evade-evade-block-evade-....-HIT). The problem is then that the hit hurts you badly because you have no armor (but also armor only helps mainly against small hits). So you need additionally high resists of cause and as much life as you can get.

The cap for evading attacks is at 95%.
Don't try to reach it by increasing evasion rating, you won't get there. Try to get around 15k-20k evasion rating for endgame, you'll be around 60% chance to evade then. With Ondar's Guile, you can double your chance to evade projectile attacks, a very powerful keystone. Acrobatics is okay, but I won't recommend getting all 6 passives, the first is enough for PvE. Try to get 40% (or more, if possible) chance to block on top of that. I'd also recommend getting 4k+ life for maps. Don't forget to add the Blind support gem to your attacks. Sorry Exile, but your loot is in another dungeon!
