[Nemesis]RaizQT's Immortal Dom.Blow Summoner build (1.1.1b UPDATED)

Level 71 with this now, doing well.

Curious if you changed your cast on damage gem setup?

Can you link all your gear? I am running a very similar build and am in love with it.

Are you able to run 3 auras? I feel like that would be more beneficial than 7k life.

Purity, Vitality, Determination. The damage mitigation from determination seems so amazing for you and the pets..

Thanks!

Hey! what do u think if it's good to use this two items with this build?

can u make dominus runs with this build?
PoE nowadays looks more and more like a fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.
Hey all, just wanted to say thanks for this guide.. I wanted to build a summoner but I really didn't want to do the usual witch thing - this sounds like a really fun and viable alternative so I'm going to be doing this with a nice 799% facebreaker I found to make the leveling easier and then I'll try dominating blow with the facebreaker for yet another twist on the build. I realize I'll be losing out on two of my already-limited slots for gear but I'm curious to find out how far I can make it like this before switching to a 1 hand / better glove combo.

Here's the base for my build.. not very different from the guide except I'm not planning to go all the way to the ranger 18% life cluster unless I really need it:

Im leveling as Spectral throw, and am level 45 right now. I've only been getting health/defense nodes up to this point and im very tanky. When should I start getting the minion nodes? Should I start getting them at this point? There are about 10 that I have access to already (havent made it up to minion instability yet).

Thanks for the help!

I'm 49 and my minions (especially the spectres) do most of my damage for me now. I just facerolled gravicius in cruel with three of the flame sentinels from solaris temple, 4 zombies, and a horde of his allies. The cool thing about having that many minions is that the things that are normally devastating to summoners - like the lightning thorns / arc combo in barracks - are very well mitigated because you have so many allies that the attacks can dissipate into.

Here's my passive tree so far:

I've got a Rigvald's charge that I'm experimenting with now but up until recently I leveled with a pair of facebreakers, using Infernal blow+melee splash+melee physical damage+mana leech on my helm and dom blow+multistrike+melee splash+blood magic on my chest.

I have the summoner boots with zombie+minion damage+minion life+minion resists and the facebreakers with spectre+minion life+lmp+life leech. Shield is reduced mana+clarity+vitality and there's an extra red slot on my chest where I kept a rejuvination totem.

Rings have +physical damage (but I can swap those for better resists if I switch away from facebreakers), amulet has life leech and better mana regen and for a belt I have wurm's molt for the extra leech.

Facebreakers are a mixed bag - I definitely recommend using them for leveling if you have a pair or can afford one (4 link is essential though) since otherwise you'll have a hard time with the bosses in the lower difficulties, but it remains to be seen whether I prefer them for higher levels. To scale the damage with them you pretty much need meginord's girdle and abyssus, which are expensive items now and give you questionable sockets / stats for the minion part of the build.

I think I understand why the OP suggests 1h and shield - you get a lot more flexibility and defense and I don't see the lack of damage being much of a problem once you have enough zombies / minions to help you mill the first few mobs and you get your momentum going. That being said I'm sure you could make this basic premise work with anything from facebreakers to 2-handed weapons. You could probably even use the pillar of the caged god staff since you get so much str and int pathing for this build - you'd have a nice natural boost to AoE. So many options!

Definitely having some of the most fun with this build I've ever had playing this game, and it's only getting stronger now that my minions can actually stay alive and do some decent damage.
