Character from last night's Descent in void league, all gear gone forever right?

With this one if I'm alive at the end, character goes to Nemesis?

Thank you!!
After checking for my stashed orbs from the last race, I found them to be in the regular hardcore league, so I'd assume characters surviving the race go there rather than to the Nemesis league.
No. Race characters are never transferred to temporary leagues. Once the race is over, you get transferred to Hardcore. This is for every race that takes part in the normal game world.
What is the difference between Domination/Nemesis/Standard League ?

Do all characters in these leagues share a "shared stash" ?

Thank you

Standard: The most basic league. Some people like to call it scrubcore. Only death penalty you get is xp loss in Cruel and Merciless. This league never gets reset.

Hardcore: Only two differences from Standard. Once you die, your character goes to Standard with all his gear and inventory. Your stash stays the same. Also, the rewards you get from races are given to Hardcore.

Domination: If you played D2, you would regard this as the Ladder. This league lasts for 4 months(it started a while ago), has shrines around the zones, has items that do not drop in SC or HC. It also has challenges that you may try to complete.

Nemesis: Sort of HC version of Domination. The only difference being, there are no shrines, but rare bosses(yellow ones) have special mods that are called "Nemesis Mods" that can be annoying as shit. See the list here http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Monster_Affixes#Nemesis_Affixes

They all have their own shared stash. You can share your items with your characters in the same league but you can not for example share items between standard and hardcore. You can sort of transfer items to SC from Nemesis and HC by getting those characters killed with items.

I think they announced that race rewards would now be put into special remove-only tabs that can be accessed from ANY non-race league that is at least 2 weeks old. So you can get your rewards (but not your stashes) into Nemesis or Domination, or directly into Standard, and not only into Hardcore.

You go to "Hardcore" league, not "Nemesis" league
