One question, and I know this has been answered before but I can't dig it up. Do both of your CODT suites use a low level CODT gem and what level for each of them is the sweet spot?

I just want to say, I thought crit dischargers looked amazingly powerful and fun, I tried this build and its the most fun I have had playing PoE, gear is lacking some accuracy and a crit/ias/dmg dagger, I still am able to clear faster than anything i have seen. It's a bit rough saving the currency for the volls amulet but definately worth the investment. thanks a lot.

IIRC I use the requires level 41 codt gem for my curse/molten shell/etc.

The other setup i used for charges (casting gmp ice lance or firestorms), so i left it at level 1.

If I have level 1 CODT supporting a level 1 firestorm/ice spear and I link those to a level 20 Greater Multiple Projectiles does that work or does that support ALSO need to be low level?

GMP and LMP can be leveled as much as you want. My LMP is at level 18 now and my ice spear launches 7 projectiles.

To be honest, it shouldn't matter its level since you only use them to get more power charges and not for the damage itself since CoDT reduces ice spear's dmg quite a lot.

Yeah there's not really a reason to use high level GMP, as the damage is almost 0 anyway. Honestly the charge gain isn't even that good, it's just better than putting nothing in there.

I have question here... I've been using ice spear on CwDT (lvl 1) and it rarely procs, and when it does the projectiles don't always hit all targets which means it's kind of pointless or any at sometimes, so I've been wondering if changing it into firestorm would be better?

The only reason I see thus far to ice spear over anything is due to the high crit it has in its second form, allowing to get easy power chagers, but I don't know how fireball exactly works. Can firestorm's every fireball crit by itself? If so, I think it'd be better since it could generate a lot more power charges than ice spear.

Thoughts?

Firestorm either all crits or doesn't, and has a low crit chance.

However with crit weakness, each ball gains its own additional crit chance.

As you can imagine this gives more charges due to the high amount of fireballs, though charge codt setups in general are somewhat superfluous. Because in general trash will die before it matters, and champs/bosses will proc codt so infrequently that it overall has a low impact.

So, it basically doesn't matter between either?

You could try testing them I guess... I'd say it's just personal preference honestly, because it's fairly insignificant
