Group loot poll

I think people are picking #5 because it is the furthest from the current system.

I find it disturbing that so many people vote #5, the same system that steaming pile of excrement known as d3 uses. no thank you.

In my opinion d3 sucks for plenty of reasons but not for the instanced loot system used.

Maybe people pick option #5 because in their opinion this is the best loot system?

Anyway, would someone make a post explaining why instanced loot is so bad? What are it's downsides? What are the problems related with it? Has someone made a ~swot analysis on it?
Or if such a post exist please link it so I can read it.
Thanks

SWOT? Someone works in business…The concerns that I have seen are.

1.If instanced gear drops for you that you do not want it would be hard to share.
2.It may harm the social aspect of grouping.
3.You would miss out on valuable white/blue items that would be instanced and overlooked by teammates.

I fell that all issue can be addressed with a partial instanced loot system.

Everybody keeps the good stuff, you can easily share/sell after the run.
And if it is a good piece that I do not want/need then I can easily party-link it for anyone to see if they want it.
Anyone remember the maelstrom of chaos days when you had to set up a "hub" after 10 levels straight-in-deep to get the best ilvls? That hub was full of decent/interesting items laying on the floor for the party members to pick up if they wanted.
I really see no problem/downside with this.

And how exactly will it do this? Can you elaborate? People party for fun, for playing together with friends etc. The human being is a social being to start with.

This is the same as 1 so the same logic applies.
Again, I really see no problem/downside with this.

I really want to hear more complaints about the instanced loot system, what's the (real) problem with it?
Thanks
please use the search function on looting threads. This has been discussed plenty already. Lets try to keep this thread just for players to vote since I think that's what the OP intended. Just put your thoughts in one of the other threads.

there is a problem with changing to instanced loot, in that any time people are grouping, say you have 5 people, thats 5x the loot entering the economy. to even put this as an option would require rebalancing the party loot bonuses, the crafting system, the currency system, items themselves, and the rate items drop.

its not as easy as people seem to think, and it also goes against the 'feel' that GGG is trying for here, which i personally enjoy.

Instanced loot doesn't mean that everyone should get as many items as a whole group gets by now. It just means that the loot gets divided among the players.

Back to topic: #5.
#5 duh, otherwise i'm not going to play in public party.

and this is going to make it cool for you to play in group?

Yes.

what the hells the point.

Now the team can focus on working together and not competing.

You just killed a giant chunk of the social aspect putting each player on the team in some kind of semi-alternate universe.

I did? Weird. I was sure I've played in instanced loot games before and still socialized.
