#8 PLCMALPT!
Party leader controlled manually adjustable loot pickup timer would do the trick for me. No more racing for loot, less frustration, more fun. PUG ninjas can keep their job too, everyone is happy. Only my opinion tho. „Never underestimate one's greediness.”

Except the devs.
Who've stated they want this to be a hardcore cut throat game. |

" Then explain single player. |

" Why are we still trying to argue about this? I'm as tired of it as everyone else. Just let people state their dang opinions abut which they prefer and the devs can decide. We don't need to argue in circles. Standard Forever Last edited by iamstryker#5952 on Nov 5, 2012, 10:15:05 AM

" Single player is for those who do not wish to party for many reasons. Be time, pace, loot options, etc. Many threads on this topic. |

" But that's not hardcore cut throat, so according to you the devs don't want it. |

" They also said they'd monitor the situation and the forum's opinions. The devs have never stated that they will not adjust the current loot system and that the loot timers are a finished product. They've never stated that they will not move it more towards instanced loot (longer times, for example). This simply isn't a valid argument. I, for one, would hate instanced loot, in fact I preferred the old FFA where if I did the damage, earned the loot and someone else got a piece of the pie, that person would get kicked in the face (ok, just kicked from the party). No one follows these rules anymore because the timers made people feel entitled. How Fusings Work: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/38585/page/3#p1451934

Not trying to make an argument. Just stating what Chris said in regards to the their idea of the meta game.

" Coming strait from d2 ladders: a)with friends we took turns picking up good items b)with the pub games you fight to loot first c)with baal runs, the porter or host got first pick PoE: a)with friends we each take whats assigned, even if its unfair unless we discuss it ahead of time to divvy and ignore the timer b)in public games you have to be fast to get your loot, and if you take someone else's after timer you get labeled a thief, even if you didn't see the name so your expected to just leave a valuable item on the ground not knowing if they even saw it. c)maps, map groups make their own rules or just use the timers? I'd take the old FFA too, simple and predictable. I find it disturbing that so many people vote #5, the same system that steaming pile of excrement known as d3 uses. no thank you. |
