# 3 please!
I think the biggest problem with group loot right now is the items can be picked up by other group members WAY too quickly. Slow the timers down or make it so only 1 player can get their items. I'm not a fan of the fully instanced, because it's nice to be able to tell your friends when an item for them has dropped.

Also, public parties in Hardcore are a different breed, play some public rounds in default for aggravation.
The pub map parties were in default. And, in all honesty, I have yet to run into these ninjas. I have yet to run into leechers, or really anything. I make a map party open to pub, say ill be running 5-10 maps, all welcome. And have yet to have any issues.
Been doing this for a couple weeks now.

You camp on your loot, let it sit for 5 seconds after the allocation is cleared.

Wait. I'm not supposed to grab the stuff I want that dropped and was allocated to me for the duration of the timer?
To take me out of the picture, there was never any qq from other party members about this mechanic either. Meaning, no other party member complained about their stuff being ninja'd.

The majority of the responses favor instanced loot. Better?
I guess majority of the responses of people on the forums dont like the game either. So what do we draw from that?
Fact, most of the people reading this thread are people that are not happy with group loot as it is, else why care what the poll is?
Fact, most of the people voting are going to be unhappy due to the fact that they dont need to vote because its already how they like it.
Now take those numbers and chuck them out the window because they are pretty much like walking into a country bar and trying to see how many people in the world like country music.
On top of all this, I didnt even vote and I posted in this thread like 3 times. Why vote? It serves zero reason to vote if you already like how the game does group loot. Is GGG going to take your poll and do anything with it? No. You know why? They already said so. They said they like the loot how it is, and they said why. Until you combat their WHY, its pointless to make a poll.

I can't even imagine this being true. Where did you get this information?

So what? Can you prove that there aren't plenty of people who have A) Not played this game because of the loot system? B)Tried the game and left because of the loot system, C) Are curently playing the game but would like a different loot system AND do not report their issues on the forum?
Neither side of the issue can prove the numbers so why even bring it up. The real question to answer is whether or not there is a significant portion of the game that wants to play on a different system.
Theres also probably a portion of players who don't care if more looting options get added in so never voice anything. Or the players who are perfectly content playing single player.

Not really. This thread is available to all who play the game so I don't see how that fits into your metaphor.

I don't really see how you can prove that the devs don't look at the threads and care nothing about them. The only posts they have made have been encouraging to leave feedback on it. They said they are content with the current system but they definitely never said anything about it being permanent and to not leave your opinion.
"Until you combat their WHY" This is an odd statement but I guess my reply would be that they never went into great detail about why they like the current system besides it having loot tension and a competitive feel, which has been combated in numerous posts. I am guessing the OP made the poll to get a feel for how many players would put that they want a change and how many would put that they don't want any change.

Just to reiterate,
Your "poll" has a distinct coverage bias. You will get considerably different results just by phrasing your question differently, and actually posing the question directly to the entirety of online players one by one.
Now, under recent changes, grouping is a much larger obvious benefit. You'll have to decide whether you wish to learn and use the current loot system or solo for lesser gain.
I direct you to the last GGG response I saw on this matter:

Too all the people saying 'all is fine, nothing needs changing' I'd simply say just look at the number of public groups on the board at any given time and tell me all is fine.
I'd submit one of the primary reasons people are not grouping up as much as they could or would LIKE TO is because of the current system.
I am curious as to why you believe this, and I suspect you're wrong.
Here's some evidence against your position:
This thread recently asked people why they don't play in public parties. At time of writing this post:
- FFA was not the most posted reason - more people say they avoid public parties because they like to play at their own pace and take breaks when they want than because of the looting system.
- There were more than twice as many totalled non-FFA-loot reasons for not partying than loot reasons. Many just prefer playing with friends than people they've never met.
- More than half of the players who did list FFA as a reason for not playing in public parties also listed other reasons they don't play public parties.
- There were very nearly as many responses from people saying they do play public parties as those who don't because of FFA (3 fewer)
The feedback that you the players give does not support the suggestion that FFA loot is the main reason why people don't play in public parties, and in fact indicates that removing FFA would get only a relatively small number of additional players into public parties.
I'd encourage you to put your own reasons down in that thread if you haven't already - giving your own reasons for why you don't play public parties is more useful to us that speculating about why other people don't, as we know you're right about the first.

At one point the designers insisted that they would not include unique items. Tester on the forums and the game debated the subject and GGG changed the game based upon Beta Tester’s feedback. We are playing a beta, it is our ‘job’ to find bugs and provide feedback. The choice is GGG’s but the testers are only posting and debating the game mechanic because they care about the long term health of the game.
I understand that this poll is not scientific but it’s the best that we can do.

The pace of the public parties is directly related to loot system. So if the number one reason that people don’t play in public parties is because of the pace… Then the number one reason that people don’t play in public parties is because of the loot system.
