Could you explain Dominus fight?

What is this big machinery and why Dominus turns into rabbit demon?
"Is there such a thing as an absolute, timeless enemy? There is no such thing, and never has been. And the reason
is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms."

What is this big machinery?
That machinery is Sarn's pickle production line.
why Dominus turns into rabbit demon?
He just needs a Snickers,he turns into a diva when he's hungry
I have to agree with the sentiment here. PoE's storytelling has always been pretty lackluster despite the neat ideas going into the story, but the Dominus fight was still a pretty big letdown on that end. I guess I feel like it was reasonable to expect some sort of explanation at the end of it all.

You kill Piety, who is sitting in the basement of a dead body storage center for god knows what reason, causing her to drop the key to the Scepter of God, where *NEWSFLASH* Dominus resides.

You trudge your way through tons of monsters that are inhabiting the tower (why?), and then you fight Dominus, who *cue original motive* wants to BECOME A GOD. After fighting him for a bit, he transforms into a massive monster, and then you kill him.

Gemling queen shows up and informs you that YOU ARE THE BEST HERO THAT WINS WRAECLEST! YAY!

I suppose it's a bit problematic IMO that the entire plot happened prior to the game even starting. You spend the entire game trailing Piety and trying to piece together haphazard bits of information as to what happened on the continent. Piety doesnt even seem to be doing anything other than taunting you and blocking your path, and then after you finally kill her you have a showdown with the guy who exiled you.

It would be one thing if there was intrigue being built up throughout the first several acts, but it's really more about doing what your quest log tells you to do because that's what your quest log says.

You're in a dangerous foreign continent where zombies try to eat you and you've just arrived at an encampment that serves as a safe haven? Better go dig through Rhoa nests so that you can find mysterious glyphs that *of course* unblock an underwater passage that leads to a ledge that leads to a path to an abandoned prison where you will accomplish the important task of killing a giant man made monster.

That's still not as bad as act 2's logic of "That tree is the only thing keeping Piety from her goal! You must open the path for her!" and then of course it turns out that the Ebony legion has already been there for months, so god only knows why you had to take that path to Sarn. And let's not forget that the entire ordeal leading up to the end of Act 2 was caused by a giant ball in the middle of your path, so you decided to touch it and it fell off and caused darkness to take everything over (what?).

Yes, I'm frustrated.

Hmmmm

Act 4: The Flashback?
I thought he like fed off all the bodies, thats why he turned into an abomination.
Either that, or like someone else said, he was hungry and needed a snickers.
