@A swig of Hope Quest - Merciless

Hello, me and my friend was doing this quest and noticed a bug (atleast for us).

We grabbed the Chitus Plum and Decanter Spiritus before we talked to the NPC at docks and now when we want to return the quest items to him he is not there he wont show up for us, is this bug that anyone know how to fix or know if it will be? I would like to return this quest and get my reward!

I killed him but he is still not there.

I read in another thread that you need an item called Chitus Plum from A3. Fairgraves, they say, tells you were it is exactly. Some kind of maze map in A3. Okay, but I killed Fairgraves so he won't tell me anything...

Or is it a bug? I was doing old quests for passive skill points. Rumor is you get a magic flask (!) as quest reward from this quest. Really?! Sounds weird compared to the effort you need. If you really just get a simple magic flask then I happily throw my spiritus away cuz at the moment it just uses space I could need for farming.

He will disappear and you don't get the reward once another player talks to him and you aren't in the instance.
You have to open a new instance and talk to him.

I played solo, no one could have talked to him.

I was at Docks (Cruel) like 5 times at least. No Fairgraves.

What is the reward anyway?

Okay now he was at Docks for the 1st time. Right at the wp.

From what he says the Chitus Plum could be at the Imperial Garden?

Lets see where that is in A3, must be new.

I really hope the reward is worth it...

Okay now I got it.

In the Imperial Garden is a maze and there you find the Fruit at the Roots of a tree.


The reward (in cruel) is strange.

You can choose 1 magic flask (Amethyst/Quicksilver/Diamond)

or you can choose 1 rare jewellery (Diamond Ring/Moonstone Ring/Onyx Amulet).

Not really worth the effort imo especially if your rare jewellery gets the lowest possible roll - like in my case (20% crit/15 es/10 attributes)!

Yep had the same. Solution was indeed to kill cpt fairgraves in the ship graveyard (find someone who needs to do that quest).

Thanks, I was stuck on this as well. Maybe something can be done to make it a bit clearer that you need to first kill him?
