Not really sure if its a bug or intended, but there was no connection towards the end of the level. So instead of walking through the entire level i had to first get a tp gem and then look for a way to jump somewhere into the second part of the map.

It looked like there were stairs leading into the water right where you started the warp. Did you try those? You can pass though water at some places in Cavern of Anger/Wrath.
