If there won't be a full wipe none of new people gonna play. So stupid call by devs leaving 2 years beta characters + screwed economy.

You know that when the game went in Open Beta phase, they deleted all characters and stashes (leaving only Demigod's Presence and Rhoa Feathers), from all leagues, right? Standard/Hardcore and Legacy/HC Legacy, right? Which means the economy and the characters are not even 1 year old, right?

No games wipe BETA characters for release. NONE.

Yes, some games wipe beta characters for release. Don't be so absolute in your statements.

are we expecting a passive tree reset for all classes? sorry if this was asked, 30 pages is a lot to read for 1 question and I've looked elsewhere.

I will be as finite in my statements as I feel necessary to prove my point. While I may have been hasty in my verbiage - in my experiences with BETA testing games I have yet to see one FULL WIPE on release.

Nice to see that the people picking fights are the non-supporting players and the people staying on topic and offering positive feedback are the supporting ones. It gives me hope for the player base and reminds me why I stay out of the global chats...

As I feel my point has been proven here I'll respectfully bow out of this thread. Thank you GGG for all you do and I, along with all of the other fans, look forward to the "main event".

See everyone in the game and the "upper" globals ;)
EVERYTHING IS BETTER WHEN IT'S TACO-FLAVORED!
Good work, devs! But... please, help somehow to players with dynamically addresses, it's annoying every time to input pass.
And yes, I'm also waiting for telekinesis.
Awesome, will be waiting for steam release! Seeing the store page for PoE got me so excited.

I wouldn't be too upset if they did.

Beta is there for testing purposes and balancing the game assets out for the actual full public release.

I can see if someone, such as yourself as put in a lot of time helping 'test' the application, a reset would disappoint you.

But you should realise, a lot of the achievements you would have made during the beta stages would be based on flawed and unbalanced systems. Hence the concepts of alpha and beta releases, to iron such issues out.

The community thanks players such as your self for the efforts you have put in to help 'test' and make this game better, which will be awesome when it is released to the public on Oct 23rd.

However, you must not mistake a wipe as some sort of dis-loyalty from GGG. At the end of the day, you pledged and volunteered to help with the Alpha and Beta testing. In response to this, GGG provided you with early access to the game, game assets and mechanics. This level of interaction should not be dismissed just because they may decide on a character wipe.

If they do implement a character wipe, don't fret mate. You will have a huge advantage over all of the new players any way, as you will already know the best ways to play the game and get the best gear. You will already have a community of friends as a result of they alpha and beta to help you.

My personal opinion is, everyone should start of at the same place game wise. A character reset is required for the official release.

An alternative is to move all of the BETA users to a legacy league?

Maybe this is a new trend or something.. but in my experience.. MOST games do full character wipes after beta testing concludes.. a few blizzard games come to mind.
Hello, I'm from Hong Kong.
May I know why do I can't find PoE on steam?
I can find it by changing the steam website region to us,
But hk region cannot.

Finally some good thoughts!!! I wouldn't mind as a new player if beta testers would get some kind of rewards or something at official release start but wipe beta leagues is necessary!!
