Socket colors and reduced attribute requirements.

Does the reduced attribute requirements mod allow for easier off color rolls?

From what I hear, off color chance is based on attribute requirements. With http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Wanderlust you can roll any color with the same chance. With http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Vaal_Regalia I got a lot of all blue sockets. I probably could have colored the sockets before rolling stats and saved a lot of chromatics but I'm not sure if modded attribute requirements count towards socket colors. Confirmation?






I was going for 3 green and 1 red but I guess added fire it is.



Edit: Confirmed yes! :D For easier off colors, Transmute then alt to get "reduced attribute requirements". After that, scour or do whatever technique you use to get your rare stats.

Having a higher or lower stat requirement doesn't change your chances to roll different socket colours. It's whether you have a stat requirement at all or not.

If your item requires dexterity, it will primarily roll green sockets. If your item requires strength or intelligence, it will primarily roll red or blue sockets, respectively. An item with no requirements (e.g. Driftwood Clubs, Plate Vests, Wool Shoes, etc) has a chance to roll all three socket colours evenly.

No. That allows you to equip items as though their requirements were lower, it does not actually reduce their requirements. It's not possible for one item to modify all other items in the game like that.

This will not do the same thing as the "reduced attribute requirements" mod that can roll on magic and rare items.

You're a genius! I saw this thread and said "of course not!" but it seems there is a use for that attribute after all!
