Hardcore bug issue

I put a blood gem in my weapon cast the aura and died, can any one help?

It looks like you connected Blood Magic to your aura, and that will increase the cost. You probably reserved 100% of your life, which would kill you!

Is that the way this is supose to work? I put Blood magic(the gem) in conjunction with Templar shield and it did not kill me. When i put it with the defensive aura, i died. This seems to be a bug, no?

So it cost 1200 heath points to cast that shield? Seems a bit much...for 20% def to party

The Blood Magic gem adjusts the cost of the skill by 250%. This is fine for cheaper skills, but with an aura that always reserves a % (Determination reserves 40% of your mana), Blood Magic increases it to reserve 100% of your life.
Determination is also likely to receive a buff soon! Balance & Design
