Interesting enemies

A book and Planescape Torment gave me idea for this, synergised enemies.

Basically the more enemies there are of a certain type the stronger each individual is.This can be Hit point/Defence and/or damage.Another a little different is just the boss is stronger but as you kill its minions it grows weaker, maybe to make it a little different he heals the minions too but the heal spell gets weaker.

Another thing people might consider such enemies as tedious but I think enemies could have greater XP/Drop reward when they are more challenging.

This is an interesting idea. It could be difficult to balance though.

i've been toying with the ideas of monster grudges, myself.

nothing is more boring than when three kinds of mobs drop everything and zerg the player.

honestly, there should be more three way dances. at times, discretion would be the better part of valour, and you'd watch the mobs fight it out, at the cost of xp and loot. other times, you could dive right in and slaughter everything, your own personal king-of-the-hill moment.

fun!

synergystic mobs would be interesting, though that's probably covered under mobs using player abilities. later on, eventually, you run into a random killer assortment of abilities, and go splat.

kind of like multi-shot lightning enchant conviction aura... etc, etc.

<3 GGG.

All sounds good to me and to add, wolf pack style "alphas" are a must for any game imo, love mini bosses

I agree it actually makes the world seem more alive.Sacred 1+2 have this in some areas Kobolds fighting Undead,Trolls fighting Orcs,of course if you get too close or attack they will turn on you.
