Category Comparison, Rating & Review: Diablo 3, Marvel Heroes, Torchlight 2, Van Helsing, Grim Dawn

Hey guys! I need your help and feedback: I am working on an extensive review of the most popular arpg games. Sadly, the character limit on this forum is minimal. I have the least amount of experience and expertise regarding PoE

No, it's not spam; just easier to upload newer versions
Its been a long time I made my aRPG tally count.

Essentially its other aRPGs 0, POE 8.
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!
Why not make multiple posts? Not gonna copy&paste some facebook shit, sorry.
D3 - 0
TL2 - 4
PoE - 9

The others 1
I didn't open your link. Maybe you want to just ask what you are looking for?

I mean if you want me to rank them 1 to 10 I'll give TL2 a 5, D3 a 7 and POE a 7. If you want specifics then here is what I think.

TL2 is way too much of an arcade game, too much potion spam, too much exploiting mob AI, movement speed is way too fast and the skill system falls flat on its face imo. It feels like the smash TV of aRPG.

D3 is the most fun of the three by miles for general gameplay and leveling a single character but since they focused completely on the end game and the end game is garbage due to terrible itemization it makes the game completely lack any sort of replayability. The mob affixes get old pretty fast too, I like the ground effects but they shouldn't be on every single elite.

POE's combat gets dull before you even reach end game because it is too spam heavy and the lack of any sort of respec locks you into one build for way too long. It has by far the most replayability of the three titles though which is why I'm sticking with it. The end game is complete rubbish though so all it has is rerolling imo.

They all completely fail by sticking to the horrible systems D2 put in place. Replaying the same content over and over to level, the overly heavy use of RNG for itemization, the lack of randomization in zones, the dumb story that makes the game way too linear. The stupid magic find mechanic that completely ruins end game.

I'd give TL1 a 6, D2 at release a 5 and after the expansion a 7 and Titan Quest an 8 for other aRPG I've played.

How about you pay me a cut of what you're getting paid?
IGN: lVlage (96 Witch)
POE - 7/10 (with potential for even 10 if they will start changing and balancing the game and technical side)
D3 - 5/10
T2 - 8/10 (9 with mods)
D2LOD - 9/10 (10 with mods)
MH - 5/10
VH - 7/10

All of you missed Grim Dawn, which is in fact the most ambitious competitor of it all. Game is really good.

Grim Dawn does have a lot of potential, but it is still very incomplete. So who knows how much the game will change from alpha to full release..for the better or worse.

Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

You should also include Sacred 1,2 (and possible 3) and Dungeon Siege 1 2 and 3. Each of these shows pitfalls of the ARPG genre. D3 is not a fluke... other franchises have been ruined by poor designs.
