Vendor UI Blueprints: The Vendor's 'Purchase' & 'Sell' Windows Combined (with 2 buttons)
Here are some suggestions on how utilizing vendors can be made easier for players.
Open to see Vendor Options for 'Purchase' / 'Sell' Items:
Note: Both windows would not open at the same time. The 'Purchase Window' would open first. Players wanting to 'Sell' to the Vendor would simply press the 'Sell ->' Button as shown below.
Open to see the Vendor's 'Purchase' UI Window:
Open to see the Vendor's 'Sell' UI Window with NEW Instruction Text:
When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails. Just because a game receives a great amount of praise vs. only a small amount of criticism does not mean to call it a day and make a foolish misplaced assumption that it is perfect. I like the helper text on the 3rd one, but it could still mention dragging items too. You don't have to remove that tip just to add the tip about CTRL+Click. (I assume that's what it said before)
I also like combining the Buy/Sell, but I would like to suggest a further optimization! How about CTRL+Click inventory item (or dragging to vendor) automatically switches to sell mode (even when you're in buy mode). The way you've displayed it, it takes me an extra click to unload goods- the most frequent action at vendor- because it always starts in purchase and I have to manually switch to sell. |

" That would also be a good idea, but even in this automation you talk about, there would still need to be the 'Purchase' Button in that after you're done selling things via by CNTRL + CLICK you may want to go back and BUY things. Therefore, my idea in adding swap Buttons between the 'Purchase' and 'Sell' Window is still viable. When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails.
