" The base item is not Solaris Circlet as stated in #37 newsletter, in case some people are throwing chance orbs at it. It's a very rare drop but can drop outside of maps and it's more powerful than what I pitched as my final stat revision, so I'm curious to see if people cry it being overpowered or if they feel it's very strong for specific builds but not broken. I couldn't tell myself as I don't have a character that could use the item yet - the unique part was just a fun design idea in my mind and it was pitched little over half year ago. If deemed too strong I'm sure it can be toned town somehow. Good luck to people in finding it :) And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you.

excited for your unique but i wish people made more powerful and somewhat common uniques. All of the uniques are either super powered and impossible to find or easy to find and useless.

Question about Doon Cuebiyari, which by the way is KICKASS, and is screaming "build around me", which I probably will (I always wanted to have a heavy armored marauder pure caster).
What does level 30 Iron Will do? From the wiki, higher levels of Iron Will simply reduce the cast speed penalty, and level 20 already nullifies it, so extrapolating I have to imagine higher levels increase cast speed? If so, isn't it a bit confusing? It may have made more sense to have "gems are supported by level 20 Iron Will" and a higher bonus to Cast Speed? (so the total is more evident). In any case, great design. I'm loving these new Uniques coming out lately that have different properties based on how you use them (main or off-hand, socket colour, etc). I just hope someone comes up with a Unique with procs already :D. |

So for a character with, say, 800 Strength (a typical, non-min-maxed value for IW casters), this scepter would provide 160% increased spell damage in a ghetto 4-link, 10% increased elemental damage, and 27% (up to 30%?) cast speed. This is pretty decent for early maps I would say, but doesn't beat out a 5-link in a good enough rare, and definitely not any 6-link as far as I'm aware?
<Tyrfalger> Exactly, the next act is going outside Sarn and into those wheat fields (see the map) to become a farmer. Then we can spend our days endlessly farming. Wait a minute...

That scepter would be awesome for my Marauder EK caster... I only have a 4L currently anyway and of course on of the supports is iron will o.O
Though sadly i couldn't use LL with it... At least not if i stay with my current offensive combo EK + added fire + blood magic (+of course IW). Hmmmmm... interesting decision. Proud 5th duelist in the Jul 1 2012 Ladder Race and in the Nov 3 2012 Solo Turbo Race :D
And even prouder 4th Templar in the Nov 10 Four-hour Party Hardcore Race :P Current OB success: top 20 Ranger in 105 Minute Turbo Solo (S4E9) |
