Behavior of multi projectiles.

I had a couple questions about Multiple projectiles.

1. Can more than one projectile hit the same target?
I am having a hard time hitting one target with two arrows.

2. If one projectile gets a critical strike, do they all?
If you're talking about Lesser/Greater Multiple Projectiles, then yes, you can 'shotgun' the effect. (edit: spells only, based on the correction below.)

Try placing your mouse at the edge of the screen and firing; this should narrow the 'cone' of fire.

Not sure about the crits. I know that Firestorm works that way (one crits, all crit), but with L/GMP, I'm a bit in the dark.

crit is rolled for the attack, not individual projectiles.

It would be VERY powerful (quite too poewrful) if your 5-component ability with pierce (!) rolled crit individually for each projectile. My take: with proliferation you'd have elemental status effects blanketing whole rooms much more easily than you do now.

Ranged weapon projectiles (arrows and wand projectiles) can't do this. Spell projectiles (and weird things like lightning strike) can.
This may change in future.

Yes. All skills make a single critical strike roll.

What if they hit a mob with Critical Weakness?
IRON MAN
Note: Ethereal Knives is a spell but does not have the shotgun effect. It and Lightning Strike are the odd ducks.
The cast/attack itself makes a single crit chance roll which is applied to enemies individually. It's possible to crit one enemy and not crit another with the same attack if one of them has increased chance to be critically hit.

Please don't change shotgunning spells, it's the only reason Spark is even viable as is!

I think the change will be about arrows, not spells :)

Yeah I'm of a firm belief that to remain consistent and meet logical expectations, any projectile should be able to hit a target, provided it passes through that target. This should imply that all projectiles should shotgun.

Mark maintained in the MP discussion in reply to Dust that they might make spells like Ethereal knives, which I feel is a mistake and not logical at all.

This is a very very powerful ability though, and has to be balanced as such.
