Advantages from Alpha's Howl
* +2 Level of Gems Aura Gems
* 8% reduced Mana Reserved
* Cannot be Frozen
* 25% Chance to avoid being chilled
* 20-30% Cold Resistance
Disadvantages from Alpha's Howl:
* Dexterity requirement
* Evasion Rating, not Energy Shield
Calculations:
Note: LvL 22 Auras w/ Inner Force vs LvL 20 Auras w/o Inner Force
Note: Only two or three of the aura's will be able to be activated at level 22 so keep in that in mind when you are viewing the benefits of the auras with inner force.
Note: Quick switching with Alpha's Howl is implied. I had to add a note for disclaimer's sake.
Note: I did not include for increased mana reservation or cost for level 22 auras as that is besides the point.

(*)Righteous Fire + Inner Force: Net Difference : 15% increased spell damage(87% -> 102.66%), 2.09% of max life delt to self as fire damage(9.31% -> 2.09 w/ Purity).
(*) Auras + Inner Force: Net Difference : 3.52% increase cast speed, .72% increased maximum resistance, +62.94 energy shield added, 1% increased run speed, +5.74 regenerated per second.
(*) Nullification(4 Skill Points): 32% increased energy shield, 32% increased evasion rating, +8 to all resistances, 10% increased energy shield recovery time reduction.
Conclusion:
(*)The slight benefits that are attained from Inner Force are significantly negated by Righteous Fire and can be easily mimicked, if not improved, by using the skill points elsewhere.

purity 4% max resists is no longer affected by inner force
while I'm not sure if there are better points availible out there its hard to pass up +15% MORE spell damage, 3% cast speed, all resists and 62 BASE energy shield
i highly doubt you can get better with just 4 points, unless the build you run benefits especially from something else (like 4 crit nodes or something)

Depending on your build you could grab more elemental resists, with witch you have the possibility to gain a total of +32 chaos res, 2x +30 cold or fire or electric nodes (near trolls blood). I want to stress that it is my personal opinion. Power Charges might be useful, eh. Just my thoughts again.
