Elemental Equilibrium questions

Hi guys
so here is my question: Lets say you are using element hit gem(applies 1 and only 1 random element to your attack) but you have a weapon that has a triple ele roll so your default attack already does all 3 types of elemental damage. Will EE proc for the highest elemental dmg applied i.e. the only that procs from elemental hit? or will it apply all 3 resistances because of your tri ele roll weapon? Also does EE work for chaos dmg? |

EE won't work at all if you deal all 3 types of elemental damage and it doesn't work for chaos damage either.

EE applies additional resistance to each element you hit with. If you hit with all three elements, then the monster gains additional resistances to all three elements.
Chaos is not an element, and is thus unaffected by EE. |
