I am enjoying this build...
This evening at the docks, all from one fight (there must have been two groups of blues, but still) all those yellows!




Anyway I do have a question. It was mentioned earlier in the thread that docks are good place to farm since they are level 66, and you will never have the drop penalty. However, when I hit tab, in the upper right it says that the monsters are lev 63. This isn't the same as the area level?

i farm docks under 4 mins, lunaris 2 to piety about 5 mins, kole 2 seconds but ive gotten zero good unique drops... like nothing worth over a gcp. its getting pretty boring, farming docks and lunaris. I can kill piety if I wanted to risk, i have solo-ed her without dying but sometimes she ice portals without me seeing and 1 shots me. I can do maps but anything with chaos damage one shots me. idk what to do anymore, should i save up for a shavs? or better wand and shield? i want to get a better helm with 40% fire resis and iir iiq so i can drop RotP and get a crit/SD shield, i can buy a new wand. i just need some guidance i guess, how should i be making money without relying on big RNG drops? chaos recipe? i waste too much time nitpicking when i can just clear another instance in the same time.

I'm sitting in the same boat.. Lv78, soon 79 and can't rely on a Shavs dropping any time soon. Lunaris is getting pretty stale. I love the build but I'd really wanna get into maps without random deaths soon.

Anyway, B_L_3_E_D I suggest getting a frost pot with dispel freeze for piety. It made her really easy for me as long as I focus a little and recharge my ES when needed etc.

People use one of these to get free* bloodmagic while casting auras, then switch back to regular armor/helm.

*By free I mean no added mana cost, the blood magic gem makes your auras extremely expensive.

i try to farm at lunaris and piety, but stuck with "Tentacle Miscreation" mob at lunaris 3, he kill my zombie and totems so fast, i cant do anything but run

in severe pain farming docks and lunaris for a shav (how can ppl selling it for 35ex?)

@B_L_3_E_D - I'd suggest when you farm piety (if you do) switch off the andvarius and put on a ring with a lot of cold and some rarity. Find one or buy one. If you had a sapphire with extra cold and rarity then add the 20% you gain back from removing andvarius you'd be fine. Just for her.

And yes, the chaos recipe is best. For me it's generally the rings that give me trouble making a recipe. I'll leave the +life rings unidentified and generally can find an amulet to leave unidentified as well but other than that I like to see what they have at expense of me getting 1 chaos from the recipe. That's fine.

Also yes, update weapons/gear. She's a good character to get gear for your other characters as well (if you have any).

@wcparker : The main philosophy behind this character is to build up currency by taking advantage of the good dps and high IIQ/IIR capabilities. It can be a little frustrating and there could be a ceiling on this characters (especially without a shavs). Still, it really doesn't matter who your first characters is. If you get tired of her roll another one and interchange. I started with a melee duelist but actually find this one to be entertaining.

@vjru5zl0v3 Malachai is cheaper. and if I were you with that low DPS (yes, it's low enough) I wouldn't be farming Piety cause you'll die once in a while and lose XP. Farm docks and lunaris 2.
Also, on your tree you went up the mana regen part skipping the awesome beginning spell damage. I'd rework that (it'll take about 8 or more respec points)


I've seen a couple people say they have trouble running RF and then see they have Rise of the Phoenix as their shield. That requires more ES to run than a springleaf. Run it with a springleaf shield until you can sustain with a RotP.

It's helpful to get a ruby flask as well as it increases max fire resist for flask duration which will in turn increase your regen for those few seconds (like a life potion).

Place your Righteous Fire gem on a wand with +2 to fire (and +1 to other gems if you find one) and put that in your offset (the other set of weapons). Have auras on either armor, helm and/or boots. Activate auras then switch to other weapons activate RF, switch back. It'll stay on.

To use malachai: put it on. Activate the auras you want using blood magic (make sure reduced mana gem attached). Take malachai off. Activate those auras you want on mana. Put malachai back in stash. (i do all this safely at the maps observatory)

TIP: you can actually MOVE the reduced mana gem. Once the aura is activated that's it. As long as aura is on moving the reduced mana gem doesn't change it's reserve. So you will only need 1 gem. Then you can put a rejuvination totem in one of the red slots or something and move the reduced mana to somewhere else such as connected to conductivity and frost wall on your wand or something.

My passive tree (I have a little more on ES cause my chest piece blows. I plan to respec out of that when I have more ES)
