If you have a maxed Purity gem then you should have 89%.

75 + 8 (shield) + 2 (adaptation) + 4 (purity)

Just made the transition to using RF at level 57, doubled my dps and am now facerolling everything. Question though. What, if anything, do you link RF to?

I think your forgetting that 17% MORE spell damage is a different modifier than 17% increased spell damage. I don't think 17% MORE spell dmg can be recovered with 4 points elsewhere.

Is wearing Shav mandatory for farming maps on softcore?
My witch is 71 atm with rather uninspiring gear but I am growing tired of Lunaris. Is it viable to run maps as is or should I respec to CI until I have Shav to deal with chaos damage. The perspective of losing 100%iir from boots aswell as Pain Attunement and RF is not too attractive.

Ok, finnaly hit a stage where i need only better armor and or andyviouses. Im 70 still farming docks but i see significant decrease of currency drops.
My question is:

Should i stay in docks tryin to farm currency with quantity or max rarity and go to lunaris farm for uniques?
What gives more cash to play with?

In you 2nd set of weapons put a +2 fire gems wand (better if it's +2 fire gems & +1 all gems).
Have your auras on gloves boots and/or helm (it's just easier this way).
Activate auras. switch to 2nd set of weapons with RF in that wand. Activate rf. Switch back. It'll stay on and you'll gain the effects from the wand. nice.

It's not mandatory but ANY chaos damage is going to eat that remaining little chunk of life you have and you'll hardly even notice it cause it'll be quick and it's hard to see the little life left disappear.
If you go CI you lose the benefit of righteous fire. You can't use RF with CI.

So, you can farm maps but be either ready to leave if there's a lot of chaos creatures (poison spitters blow) or super cautious or be just recently levelled and not care if you gain any xp.

Well, it's not currency vs uniques really. No one place is technically better for either. In fact, some say ledge is best for currency but that may be due to it's narrow, easy to kill monsters, one way feature. Go farm lunaris 2. You'll find about the same stuff but the uniques that drop there can be better since it's higher level. Also, don't forget the chaos recipe for rares. (1 of each: armor, boots, 2H weap (or 2x 1H weaps), 1 helm, 1 amulet, 2 rings and a belt. all identified = 1 chaos all unidentified = 2 chaos)

You can venture into lunaris 3 but be super careful cause those titty shooters are dangerous and if you run into more than one around a corner you may not have time to react.

Yeah I abuse the crap out of the Chaos recipe for both identified and unidentified gear. You get a stupid amount of rares and can earn Exalt equiv in Chaos easily just farmin docks.

I usually prefer docks since Lunaris is really dark on low life even if it does have a greater chance for better uniques.

I currently am level 45. I still only run clarity. Where should I be going on the skill tree? I died yesterday at level 58 with another char. I just got the two totems. I think I'm gonna try to get trolls blood. Then not sure next.

What auras should I be running. I will try to link my gear but Might have to do it tomorrow.

this build will not work for hardcore, a single hit by any chaos mob will kill you instantly before you can react.

(unless you have 30 exalts to spend on a shavronnes chest)
