Season Two, Event 186: 2 Hour Cutthroat Solo

This league has Cutthroat and Hardcore enabled, when you die to enemies of any type you will be moved to Default league.

A summary of hardcore Cutthroat rules:
  • This is a separate short-duration league that has its own stash (as usual). At the end of the event, characters and stashed items will be moved to Hardcore.
  • There's a PvP damage multiplier because players start with a lot more life than they do damage. This multiplier will be adjusted substantially based on feedback from this event and others.
  • Players are hostile by default to players who are not in their party.
  • You can ctrl+click on the entrance to an area to use the Instance Management screen to manually enter any other player's instance of an area.
  • Cut-throat instances can hold a maximum of 12 players.
  • This is a hardcore league. When you die, you will be moved to default league, you lose the normal experience penalty for your difficulty plus 30% of your current level. You also drop all inventory and equipped items. Your flasks, skill gems (even ones in your inventory) and quest items are not dropped.
  • If you were killed by another player, your lost experience is split among their party.
  • If you attempt to abruptly leave the game in a non-town instance, you have to wait 5 seconds and are unable to move or use flasks.
  • The grace period of invulnerability upon entering an area is 20 seconds. This should start once the player is mostly done loading.
  • Non-partied players only show up on the map if they're nearby.
  • There are no notifications for players joining or leaving areas.
  • Portals cannot be used until they have been up for five seconds.
  • You cannot apply microtransaction effects to items in cut-throat. You may dance and have pets.

nice races. nerf puncture its op
Attempted first hailrake kill as i usually do when i cant stay for an entire event. Had company by the time i reached hailrake, which quickly turned into an epic 6-player + hailrake battle with half the monsters in the instance along for the ride. By the time i managed to snipe hailrake and snatch the medicine chest, 2 players were dead and i escaped to log while the remaining 3 were still dueling it out. Easily the most difficult and also the most fun hailrake rush to date.

Lost that character when trying to give a teammate my gear in terraces- 3 other players joined pretty much instantly and managed to kill me and snatch some of the dropped gear before one of them also died and the rest escaped back into town- but i got that first kill reward nonetheless.

GG all, cya next race!

Cut-throat is not fun when someone sneaks into your instance, just after you create it, and quickflask to you while you're killing things and before you can really react, since you're so close to the entrance. It's a huge advantage to templar with their glacial hammer too. You can just be sniped within a few seconds of creating the instance. Although it can be just as bad some time later, when you're fighting mobs in one of the prisons floors. Without any warning of invasion, the attacker always has the advantage until the defender notices.
I had good luck after start won Hillock for the 15th time, had some nice items and killed some players in prison.
But after Brutus my luck left me and even transmuting/alting mallets/Long staffs sledgehammers and ironstaffs resulted in caster mods like spelldamage crit for spells or +1 to lightning/cold fire skills I sold like 2 pages of EQ and they kept staying crap I went to SGP and went to church level 2 so even somebody follows me there he has terrible lag, will be punctured and take ele damage from surrounding mobs.
I was level 6 and got 3 points. anyone know how i can check what i got the 2 other points from?

Edit: it was only 24 marauders in the race so i guess i was top 10... didnt realize it was so few players

top 10 Marauder = 2 points. congrats
got killed several times, still found a rare that I still have.
Evebody who killed me, did not any real good items off my body,
I did not use anything of real good stats for this race, that way
when I was killed nobody got anything of real value off my body,
some ok weapons is all they got, nothing off any real good stats
was taking off my body, only one or two magic items of not realy
good stats is all they got off my body, I do this race to hope to
get lucky killing Hillrock, I got one rare off of killing him which
I naver used during this race, I am no dummy, I never use any weapons
of any real good stats during cutthroat races, that way if I get killed
which I often do, the killer does not get anything of any real good
stats off of my body, I do not carry any scrolls at all nore do I use
any real good weapons, I just use the regular weapons I find off of
monsters or on the ground, if I find anything of real good stats I
then logoff in as safe of a place as possible so I do not loose it
if I am killed, since there is a 5 second delay before you can logoff
this ia the safest mothod that I found to keep any real good item that
I find off of monsters or in chests.
nerf whois :P or dont!
^ The number or "real good" is too damn high

Question: when there are others player in an instance does the XP bonus work?
