Questions about game launch errors

Hi,When I launch the game, a window pops up and I am prompted"Failed to init FMOD system.Error code 51".I guess I'm not the only one experiencing this issue and I need help fixing it.

Try updating your sound driver.
There should be a download link on your motherboard manufacturer’s website. "VPs are not required to change their posting style. They are still welcome to express their opinions and take part in any discussions they wish. It seems that updating the driver doesn't fix the issue about the failure to launch the game.

Is it still complaining about FMOD?

Yes, it's still prompting the same error.

I tried restarting my computer and then updating my drivers, but the game still won't start, and then the computer pops up the same window that appeared before.

3 things to try.. this isn't a game issue
disable sound in Windows then enable sound when the game launches delete your production_config.ini file (documents\my games\path of exile) (1/2) fix your sound/sound device other apps probably have this same issue change your default Windows sound device Last edited by Eleven777#0993 on Apr 15, 2025, 6:43:59 AM

The way you provide looks a bit complicated, but I'll give it a try. I've tried fixing the files and re-downloading the game, but they still haven't solved my problem. I felt like I was going to have a breakdown.
