Retrying WinMTR To Solve Ping Spikes
https://pastebin.com/a7feffL5
paste bin above shows 800 packets tested, not sure whats going on as i am but a simple gamer trying to enjoy POE. started getting horrendous lag spikes in the middle of the week and it hasn't sorted itself out yet. it spikes to the point where i cant move but all the enemies can still attack me so im left vulnerable and majority of the time i die which isnt great when i am trying to progress to endgame and do labs etc etc. please helppp Last bumped on Mar 22, 2025, 10:15:54 AM

" |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | |------------------------------------------------|------|------|------|------|------|------| | TUF-AX6000-41E2 - 1 | 823 | 821 | 0 | 1 | 105 | 1 | The only real issue I see in your WinMTR log is packet loss that begins between your computer and your ASUS TUF AX6000 wireless router. This represents some of the data sent by your computer getting lost in transit without even having left your home, which can artificially cause latency spikes when your Path of Exile game client waits for an acknowledgment for a message it sent to the server, accepts it isn’t going to get one, and re-sends the data multiple seconds later. If this only started recently, the first thing to try is a power cycle. Click here for a step-by-step guide. If the issue persists, the next step would depend on whether you’re using WiFi or an Ethernet cable. If you’re using WiFi - and from the log, I would presume that you are - the ideal thing would be to use a wired connection if at all possible. Packet loss is far more likely when your internet traffic lacks the shielding offered by a cable. If this isn’t an option, you could try changing the wireless channels used by your router - or, instead, purchasing a powerline adapter kit may be fruitful. If you are using an Ethernet cable already, then something has gone very wrong. It’s possible the cable has become loose at one end or the other - try taking it out of both the router and your computer, and then inserting it again. If you have any pets or young children, it may be worth physically inspecting the cable for signs of damage. "VPs are not required to change their posting style.
