Infinite patch Loop

Any fix for this?
My game is stuck in an infinite loop of downloading a patch for ~2-3 minutes, starting the game and then showing again
"There has been a patch that you need to update to. Please restart Path of Exile."
PC restart, update, steam, etc. everything done already, nothing works. (for poe1)

Have exactly the same issue

I dont understand why at this point they are even having updates.

endless steam validating files and quit to update version.

There's no patch note, game is stuck on loop restarts and validating, it is unplayable after the update.

Yes lots of people experiencing this, many posts in tech support forums.

Why are we even patching the game, lol. Same thing happen yesterday.

Anything from GGG on this?

Check your game folder if there is PoE.tmp file. If its there change it to Poe.exe

Also technical Support is for such things.
