Proposal: LAN Party Legacy mode (Small-Scale Coop & Trading Mode for Close Friends)
The global economy in Path of Exile has always felt overwhelming and exhausting to me. While I do appreciate the challenge and satisfaction that SSF provides, I find it difficult to give up the interactions and small-party play with friends.
The base game offers the enjoyment that comes from the vast scale of MMORPGs, while SSF captures the solitary enjoyment of old solo games. However, what I miss most is the small, intimate experience of LAN parties with close friends—something I truly cherished in the past. What if there were a localized, small-scale trading and coop mode where only designated party members, friends, or guildmates could engage in trading and playing together? I understand there could be potential technical difficulties, particularly around server management, but if feasible, this could add an extra layer of fun by allowing players to experience the joy of trading and cooperation in a more intimate setting. It would be great to enjoy small, personal exchanges with a tight-knit group of friends—whether sharing loot, trading items, or teaming up for tougher challenges. This could provide a wonderful middle ground between SSF and the normal game. Additionally, this mode could introduce a competitive element through party achievement leaderboards, which would add a fun competitive edge to the experience. I think it would be especially fun to limit the party size to six players—the maximum party limit—and create a small, tight-knit world where you could start the league together with close friends. We could even call this mode Fellowship Self-Found or LAN Party Legacy. What do you all think? Could this be a viable feature for POE2? Last bumped on Feb 15, 2025, 3:37:40 AM

U mean like creating a private league and playing only with friends?

We just need another game man. Keep looking around.
Amazing, an entire ARPG audience is just chillin in the void, until someone actually makes AN ARPG again. |

Thanks for all the fish!

I actually started with POE2, and I mistakenly thought this was a POE2 forum, so I posted the thread here. My apologies for the confusion. I didn't realize that private leagues already exist in POE1. It’d be great if it’s added to POE2 soon, though! Haha.
