Timeless Jewels question

I'm having 2 Timeless Jewel:
1 - Timeless-Diamond
2 - Timeless-Sapphire

Do they work together ?
I just purchased the Timeless-Sapphire(Small nodes give 3% Maximum Energy Shield) last night and put it in however It doesn't seem to work for me.

I tried so many time and My Energy Shield is not affected at all.

As far as i know from PoE1, there are two types of timeless jewel based on how they change passives in radius: they can replace existing passives with new ones or add modifier to existing passives.

Probably you try to combine jewels of different types. In this case add modifier jewel will add modifier to original passive and then replace jewel will replace this passive (not saving new mod).

I also suggest you to check one of the teasers for Poe2 early access, because developers could provably tell how do timeless jewels interact.
