just let it die, fellow poe1 lovers lets move on

You know what? Screw it, let it die, lets move on, theres no need to look back, if they survive "GGG", then great, if they dont, who cares. Theres been too much disrespect to even care anymore. Find a new game or a different hobby and stop giving them your money. Its all there really is to do at this point. Lets just move on.

Do what suits you. I'm going to keep playing PoE for as long as I enjoy the game. ='[.]'=

I'm sticking around, can I have your stuff?

While I agree the focus should be on poe2 that doesn't mean poe1 has to be dead they could literally just do league resets for poe1 with min changes and I think people would be happyish. However I think having two different games is a good choice one can lean more into what the devs want and one can lean more into the zoomers ideal game. Possibly the real issue here is poe2 is too much like poe1 right now for it to seem worth it. However we have no clue what poe2 will really end up looking like at full release or later on.
No
What is it with these learning resistance capped players, thinking they can tell others how and what to play all the time?

Feel free to donate all your good gear to me. Thanks.
I'm holding on.

yes poe1 is the [Removed by Support] step-child and yes its days are numbered as soon as poe2 gets that fabled 1.0.0 patch but I recckon we still have at least 3-4 leagues until then so I'll play them, sure. Got plenty of other games to try in between leagues.

PS: You can NOT in good faith call yourself a poe1 lover and move on to this half-finished poorly balanced arid wasteland of a game. graphics and design do not make a game you know.

I've definitely paid enough into POE1 to feel comfortable playing it guilt free until the wheels fall off without spending another cent.

I enjoy the game. I would take simple league resets and be happy to be honest.

But no content in POE1 means no cash from me. POE2 getting content means nothing to me because that game simply isn't great and the issues I have with it are foundational to the core game.
Thanks for all the fish!

PoE 1 is still (by far) the best and most in-depth ARPG on the market. Until it's not, letting it die seems like such a waste and a stupid decision, both when it comes to economics and GGG's reputation.

There's SO much we don't know yet. All of these PoE 2 players... Will they return every league? Will they spend every league? Will they still be here when PoE 2 isn't "new and shiny", and are they OK with seasons/wipes? How will the retention be? The same with PoE 1, how many players are still longing for more content? How many of the new PoE 2 players will try PoE 1 when a new league hits? How many players will play both?

We will get some indication when the PoE 1 event hits. 1 month and no "real" additional content isn't for everyone. We will also get some idea when 0.2.0 hits for PoE 2, and 3.26 for PoE 1 after that. While PoE 1 will never beat PoE 2 because of the amount of casual (normal) players out there, I think the numbers will show us that keeping PoE 1 'around' is the smart thing to do.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
