Suggestion for Selling Items Out in the Field
The more I think of it, the more I like this idea a lot. Who says it’s wrong to steal ideas, so long as those ideas are good and a win-win for your game?
In the spirit of competition, I feel that Path of Exile should also add a sort of “item-Breaker” in the game. This would be an orb-like device that breaks armor down into its sellable components out in the field. (I mean currency-items). So, nothing is lost, sell vendors can certainly still exist, the difference is you won’t be forced back into town just to make that action. This will help keep the flow of the game and while not being a point of distinction, it will certainly be a point of convenience. What say you, players of Beta? Happy Days Abound. " Well, it is better than taking items back to town to sell them, but, in the PoE spirit of being a bit radical I would rather you couldn't sell items at all. You pick up currency items which by PoE's definition are useful and consumable. You pick up and keep any non-currency item you think you can use or trade with someone else and the rest you leave on the floor. More convenience and less distraction. |

" That's very true, maybe sell vendors / converting items into currency items will only detract from the system at large? Happy Days Abound.

" Yep then all we need is an NPC trader who buys and sells currency items for 'gold' with no (or tiny) buy/sell price differential and prices determined by supply and demand. Then we can convert between currency items at the going rate with no cost or hassle and we have a currency to facilitate trade of non-currency items. |

Well, the idea is to make things easier for players out in the field.
That is, having a full inventory isn't the most compelling reason to go back into town. I even think there should be a way to remotely access your stash, though that may be going too far. Happy Days Abound.
